What is the Bay Area Christian Church?

Bay Area Christian Church is an independent non-denominational Christian church in the Bay Area with 9 locations including Sunnyvale, Palo Alto, San Jose and many more across the region. We are group of people striving to practice Christianity just like the Bible describes in the New Testament. You could say we are a "family of New Testament Christians." We go by the Bible, we love each other, and

we are passionate about changing lives with the good news of Christianity. Through the Bible, God provides all the answers we need in life. So we practice engaging relationships to help one another follow His word and be the best that we can be in all walks of life. Campus students and single professionals learn to lead and make a difference with their lives. Married couples get a plentiful amount of help in building their marriages and raising kids. We loved you so much that we were delighted to share with you not only the gospel of God but our lives as well, because you had become so dear to us. 1 Thessalonians 2:8

We've been a part of the Bay Area for decades, and during that time, we have become an integral part of the community. Here are some unique events and programs that serve our friends and neighbors:

E-Soccer & E-Karate: Fully-inclusive sports programs that help both special needs and typical kids learn some skills, have fun, and make friends. These programs now serve over 200 kids and families throughout the Bay Area. Spiritual Resource Ministry: Children's ministry class for special needs kids that allows parents to attend services with total confidence that their kids are being taken care of, learning, and having a great time. HOPE Technology School: A cutting edge full-inclusion school that uses small class size and dedicated professionals to provide a great education to all types of kids. Women's Day: Annual events that give women the chance to hear inspiring teaching, make new friends, and change their lives for the better. Over 20,000 women have attended these events over the past decade. Bay Area Hoops: An open basketball league that gives men the chance for highly competitive play in a friendly environment. Y-ministry: A program that teaches our next generation (middle-schoolers and teens) to live with conviction, courage and faith. Its purpose is to help these kids answer the "why questions" of life. Over 80 volunteers and ministry interns work with kids in all parts of the Bay Area. If you'd like more details about any of these programs or would like to get involved, ask any member of our church or call our office at (650) 561-7049 . We want to be a visionary church. We look to the future and see a world made better because of the influence of New Testament Christians. We are committed to make that vision a reality.

Our Executive Minister, Russ Ewell, recently wrote an op-ed for Christian Daily addressing a growing crisis facing young men today: loneliness, isolation, and the pressure to figure life out alone.

In a world increasingly shaped by screens, algorithms, and self-improvement culture, we at Bay Area Christian Church believe that real growth happens through friendship, mentorship, faith, and community—not isolation.

“You aren’t toxic; you are unformed. And God is not finished with you.”

What does it mean to cross the frontier of the heart?

We are all formed by something. We can choose to be formed by either the world’s systems or God, and this choice impacts our destiny.

Formation is inevitable—will it be from culture or God? The world’s formation is incomplete, only changing what’s on the outside. God’s formation is complete, transforming the whole person.

➡️ To learn more about how God can change your heart, check out our “New Frontier” series at bacc.cc.

In a world flooded with noise, distraction, and confusion, imagination is becoming rare. But imagination is where faith begins. It’s the ability to see beyond what is and believe in what could be.

God doesn’t just give us vision for a better future—he gives us direction, purpose, and the strength to rise above the upheaval around us.

At the Bay Area Christian Church, we believe a walk with God transforms the way you see your life, your purpose, and the world around you.

We all have questions.

Questions about purpose. About where we’re headed. About who we’re becoming. About whether there’s something more than just getting through the next day.

The New Frontier doesn’t begin somewhere out there—it starts within. When we make space for God to shape our hearts, our imagination grows, our direction becomes clearer, and we begin to live with deeper purpose.

What if the answers you’re looking for don’t start with changing your surroundings—but letting God transform what’s happening inside?

Transformation starts in the heart. Through spiritual formation, mentorship, and learning to truly walk with God, we can discover who we are meant to be.

Rules can change actions for a moment. But a relationship with God changes our life from the inside out. That’s why at the Bay Area Christian Church, we care about helping people grow spiritually, build authentic relationships, and reach their full potential.

If you’re looking for a community that values real growth and real connection with God, visit bacc.cc to learn more.

🧭Every new frontier comes with uncertainty.

The early church knew that. They lived through upheaval, opposition, and rapid change — yet through it all, they stayed rooted in one mission: walking with God and making Him known.

🧡 That same mission still guides us today at Bay Area Christian Church. We believe the way forward is the same now as it was then.
