1 John 2:3–4 (KJV)
“And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments.
He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.”
A true relationship with God shows itself through obedience. John is saying obedience confirms the relationship. Knowing God is not merely a claim, feeling, or belief it produces action. If obedience is absent, the relationship being claimed is questionable. Faith is more than words and verse 4 confronts verbal Christianity: “He that saith, I know him…” John addresses people who say the right things but live otherwise. We learn that saying “I know God” is not enough. Spiritual language does not equal spiritual reality. If you truly know God, you will obey his commandments for this is love for God.

Perseverance, which is also translated as steadfastness or endurance means the ability to remain under pressure without quitting. When you persevere, you stay faithful even when relief is delayed. Perseverance is not instant, and it is produced over time through repeated trust. This explains why some prayers aren’t answered immediately and some seasons feel longer than expected. God is developing spiritual stamina, not just solving a momentary problem. James 1:2–4 says, “Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.” Trials are not a sign of God’s absence. They are often evidence of God’s active work. The goal of trials is not survival, it’s maturity. God often uses pressure to prepare you and difficulty to develop you.

The anointing is God’s empowerment for His purpose, but it does not come without a price. Scripture shows us that the oil is precious because it represents the presence and power of God—and that requires surrender. Olive oil comes through crushing. Likewise, the anointing flows through brokenness. Jesus Himself said in Luke 22:42, “Not my will, but Yours be done.” Before the cross came Gethsemane, the place of pressing. If you desire the anointing, you must embrace the process of surrender. In 1 Samuel 16, David was anointed king, but he did not step into the throne immediately. Years of hiding, rejection, and trials prepared him. The anointing will cost you comfort because obedience often leads to lonely places. But those hidden seasons refine your character for the weight of glory. The anointing demands consecration. Leviticus 8:12 says, “He poured some of the anointing oil on Aaron’s head and anointed him to consecrate him.” Holiness is not optional it is the environment where the Spirit dwells. You cannot carry His oil while clinging to compromise. The anointing breaks yokes (Isaiah 10:27). It heals, delivers, and transforms. The cost may be high your plans, your pride, your comfort but the reward is eternal impact. When you pay the price, you become a vessel of His glory. The anointing is free in the sense that it comes from God, but it is costly because it demands your life. Are you willing to be crushed so His oil can flow? Are you ready to say, “Yes, Lord,” even when it hurts? The cost is great—but the calling is greater.

“Those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength” (Isaiah 40:31). Waiting on God is not wasted time, it is heartfelt trust. In seasons of delay, He is shaping your character, deepening your faith, and preparing great blessings. Psalm 27:14 says, ‘Wait for the Lord; be strong, and let your heart take courage.’ When you feel weary, remember that His timing is perfect and His promises never fail. Waiting is not about inactivity; it’s about expectancy. Stand firm, keep praying, and watch how God turns waiting into breakthrough.

In Hebrews 10:24–25, the Word of God exhorts us:
“And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works: Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.”
This is not merely a suggestion, it is a divine command rooted in love, accountability, and spiritual growth. The assembly of believers is where the Body of Christ comes alive. It is where burdens are shared, prayers are lifted, and the Word is proclaimed with power and truth.
To forsake the assembly is to isolate oneself from the very lifeline of spiritual strength and encouragement. The enemy thrives in isolation, but the Spirit moves in unity. When we gather, we declare to the world that Christ is Lord, and we remind each other that we are not alone in this journey.
The early church understood this deeply. In Acts 2:42, we read:
“And they continued steadfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers.”
They met daily, not out of obligation, but out of a burning desire to grow together in Christ. Their unity was their strength, and their fellowship was a testimony of God’s love.
Today, as the world grows darker and the return of Christ draws nearer, we must all the more commit to gathering as the Body of Christ. When we gather together faith is stirred, gifts are activated, and the presence of God is felt.
Let us not be counted among those who drift away. Let us be found faithful encouraging one another, worshiping together, and standing firm in the truth.

Hebrews 10:24–25 (NKJV) says:
“And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.”
God never intended for His people to walk alone. From the beginning, He called us into community, a body, a family, a church. The assembly is not just a meeting; it is a divine appointment where the Spirit of God moves, where burdens are lifted, and where faith is strengthened.
When we gather, we stir up love and good works encouraging one another to live boldly for Christ. We receive strength through worship, the Word, and fellowship. We reflect the unity of the Body of Christ many members, one Spirit. We prepare for His return "so much the more as you see the Day approaching."
To forsake the assembly is to disconnect from the lifeline God has given us. It’s like a coal removed from the fire it cools quickly. But together, we burn brighter for Jesus.
Let This Be Our Declaration:
“I will not forsake the gathering of the saints. I will stand in unity, worship in truth, and grow in grace because where two or three are gathered in His name, there He is in the midst.” (Matthew 18:20)

When life feels unstable, when the path ahead is unclear, and when fear whispers louder than faith God remains unshaken. The Bible reminds us again and again that trust in Him is not blind optimism, but a bold declaration that He is faithful, sovereign, and near.
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight.” — Proverbs 3:5–6
Trusting God means surrendering control, and it means believing that even in the silence, He is working. Even in the waiting, He is present. Even in the storm, He is peace.
David cried out in Psalm 56:3, “When I am afraid, I put my trust in You.” That’s not a denial of fear it’s a declaration that fear doesn’t get the final word.
God doesn’t promise a life without hardship, but He does promise His presence through it. Isaiah 26:3 says, “You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in You.” That’s the kind of peace the world can’t manufacture.
So today, trust Him not just with your future, but with your now. Trust Him when the answer is “wait.” Trust Him when the door closes. Trust Him when the miracle hasn’t come yet. Because He is the same yesterday, today, and forever.

In Mark 11:22, Jesus says plainly: “Have faith in God.” Not in circumstances. Not in people. Not in outcomes. But in the One who holds all things together.
When life shakes us, faith steadies us. Hebrews 11:1 defines it as “the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.” That means faith sees beyond the storm, beyond the diagnosis, beyond the delay. Faith sees God.
2 Corinthians 5:7 reminds us: “For we walk by faith, not by sight.” Sight tells us the odds. Faith tells us God is greater. Sight says “impossible.” Faith says “with God, all things are possible” (Matthew 19:26).
Even a mustard seed of faith can move mountains (Matthew 17:20).
So, when doubt whispers, let faith roar. When fear creeps in, let faith rise up. When you don’t know the way, trust the One who is the Way.
Faith invites God to do what only He can do.

In a world searching for truth, hope, and healing, we carry the most powerful message ever told: the gospel of Jesus Christ. This is great, life-saving news. And it’s not meant to be kept to ourselves.
Jesus said,
“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations…” — Matthew 28:19 “Preach the gospel to all creation.” — Mark 16:15
These aren’t suggestions. They’re divine mandates. Every believer is called to be a messenger of grace, a beacon of light in the darkness. To know Jesus is to know freedom from sin, the answer to despair, and the source of eternal life. How could we stay silent?
Paul reminds us:
“How will they hear without someone preaching to them?” — Romans 10:14–15
There are souls waiting, longing, for someone to tell them they are loved, redeemed, and invited into a relationship with the living God. You may be the only Bible someone ever reads. Your words, your story, your compassion could be the bridge that leads someone to salvation.
So, speak boldly. Love deeply. Share freely. Tell someone about the love of Christ and invite them to church. Because eternity is at stake and the gospel is too great to keep quiet.

Come on out and expect God to move powerfully! See you tomorrow night!
