Today was a difficult but beautiful. Today we laid my LB Omar McDonald, to rest. He let his light shine in ways that everyone he met and everywhere he went was made better because of his zealous nature. Our line is missing a good brother, however his impact will never forgotten.

This Thursday, I’m co-hosting a conversation for clergy across NY-17 with Cait Conley, Democratic candidate for Congress.

This is not an endorsement. It is an opportunity for faith leaders to speak directly with someone seeking to represent our district—to ask questions and express our concerns about Washington, our nation, and the communities we serve.

If clergy want a seat at the table, we must be willing to enter the conversation.

This is what it looks like when the church moves beyond its walls and becomes the hands and feet of Jesus in the community!

Through the Ossining Collective, Star of Bethlehem Baptist Church partnered with Kindle Community Inc. and the Ossining Youth Bureau to host our 2nd Annual Back-to-School Festival. Together, we gave away more than 350 pairs of sneakers, exceeding our goal, along with 300-plus book bags, school-supply kits, food, hosted soccer & basketball tournaments and connected people with local agencies and resources!

We are grateful to every sponsor, donor, collaborator, and volunteer who helped us serve Ossining’s students and ease the financial burden on their families. This is the power of the church—bringing people together, meeting practical needs, and making God’s love visible.

If you’re looking for a church that doesn’t just gather on Sunday but serves throughout the week, there’s a place for you at Star. Join us this Sunday at 11:00 AM.
