St. Mary's Community Garden Orlando

St. Mary's Community Garden Orlando St. Mary's Community Garden is a friendly, welcoming place for gardeners who want to raise vegetables and neighborhood spirit. What we grow, we share.

Mary Community Garden is a newly established community garden that is growing from the inspiration of Pauline White's "Garden of Eatin", on the grounds of St. Mary of the Angels Episcopal Church. Her bountiful fruit trees are now "The Grove," a place of peace within what will be a thriving garden. We invite all interested gardeners of every belief to come and share your desire to get your hands di

rty while making friends and learning from each other. And when we share, we grow. Come grow with us.

Mulch...the savior of the garden. Especially once it’s in its place. W**ds be gone! 😄 Happy shout out to Prince of Trees for generously delivering a load of mulch free of charge! Thanks , also, to Alan Bruns for the heavy lifting, and Carrie Anderson Hendry, Andrew Irvin and Christy Anderson for the rake-wielding, get-the-job determination. Wish we had taken a photo of Andrew’s three adorable children during our break, eating crackers and climbing trees in our new picnic area. There will be more opportunities, for sure! 🥰🌿🌱

Three years and we’re still going strong. So proud of our garden. Today we planted a bed solely for our congregation. Kale, broccoli, collards, and we kept the egg plant that was grandfathered in. It just keeps producing egg plant! We also have a new herb garden...six barrels full. Also a gorgeous bevy of flowers in the back barrels. And we have new gardeners ready to plant. Stay tuned! 🌱🌿🌼
