St. Joseph’s Syro Malabar Catholic Mission of Kingston, Ontario warmly invites you to join us in worship. We are all called to be part of the mystical body of Christ and share in His life. Our parish is a vibrant community of faithful believers, united by a deep desire to worship our Lord and to nurture the faith of our children and families. The Syro-Malabar Church is an Apostolic Church with roots tracing back to St. Thomas the Apostle, who arrived in Cranganore (Muziris) in 52 AD and established seven Christian communities in Kerala, India—at Palayur, Cranganore, Kokkamangalam, Kottakavu (Parur), Quilon, Niranam, and Chayal. St. Thomas was martyred in 72 AD at Mylapore, near Chennai (Madras). The early Christians in India, known as St. Thomas Christians, were also called Nazranis, meaning followers of Jesus of Nazareth.
