Daniel Wayne Robertson Memorial

Daniel Wayne Robertson Memorial A memorial to share pictures and memories of my only child, Daniel who died way too young.
9/20/81 -10/26/2013
He suffered from Transverse Myelitis.

My journey of tears, joy and grief from losing the love of my life, my son Daniel who taught me that God is our only hope and paved the road for me to be a better Christian and to help others. My journey will never end until I reach Heaven so while I am here I am His servant to serve as He wishes. Daniel's life and his faith changed me forever. From a broken sick, angry young man came the sweetest

, most loving servant of the Lord. Praise God! Daniel woke up paralyzed from the chest down on 9/21/10. He was diagnosed with Transverse Myelitis and told he may never walk again. If it did, it could take up to two years. Daniel was a strong and determined young man. He got up and took his first baby step on the 5th day and walked down the hall on the 6th day. We really thought we had this! But as time went on we found out that he actually had LETM Longitudinal Extensive Transverse Myelitis but the doctors didn't seem to take it seriously and did not search for the true cause of LETM. Daniel ultimately died from Respiratory Failure due to Transverse Myelitis. Please support TM Awareness and Research.

Great advice from Liam Neeson!

"They say the hardest thing in the world is losing someone you love. Someone you grew old with and watched grow everyday. Someone who showed you how to love. It's the worst thing to ever happen to anyone. My wife died unexpectedly. She brought me so much joy. She was my everything. Those 16 years of being her husband taught me how to love unconditionally. We have to stop and be thankful for our spouses. Because, life is very short. Spend time with your spouses. Treat them well. Because, one day, when you look up from your phone, they won't be there anymore. What I truly learned most of all is, live and love everyday like it's your last. Because, one day, it will be. Take chances and go live life. Tell the ones you love, that you love them everyday. Don't take any moment for granted. Life is worth living.”❤️❤️❤️

“It’s funny, grief, isn’t it? How you die with them. Whoever you were before has gone. Your ghost walks the earth. You look the same, sound the same, but are not the same. You don’t breathe oxygen the way you did before. You negotiate life under an ocean. Drowning as you do your shopping, drowning as you are driving, drowning as you go to work. You can’t live with this, you think. No one could live with this. It’s unliveable. Then there are moments when your head rises above the water. You find something funny, laugh. A glimpse of your previous self. Until you are submerged once again.”
― Charlotte Levin
Then you find more joy than sadness, you enjoy life but the life before grief never goes away. Grief will always be a part of your life.
Every time someone loses a child, you grieve all over again. Find as much joy and Jesus in this life and in the next life, you will be filled with happiness that you never imagined🙏🏻
