After living a life of addiction and trials, and seeing other local
teens face such tragic issues Josh Bond, youth pastor at
Kingsway Ministers, began to have visions of how to help teens
in the area. In 2012, Bond and the congregation of Kingsway
took off on a mission with a zero balance in their bank account
and ended up with five thousand dollars by the first night of the
event. B
ond had decided that if no one was saved at the event,
he would not pursue another year. Surprisingly, Bond had the
pleasure of baptizing his own cousin who had been a heroin
needle user. Plans for the 2013 STANDOUT youth rally are in
progress. The event will begin Friday, July 26 and wrap up on
Sunday, July 28. STANDOUT Youth Rally will be three days of
singing, speakers, and games with Sunday morning church
service. Bond hopes a baptism service will be needed to close
out the event. The event music is not ordinary “Christian” music. Instead, teen- based Christian rap and contemporary music, as
well as speakers who focus on youth will fill out the lineup. Donations are currently being accepted to allow an absolutely
no cost experience to the youth in attendance. The goal is to
offer not only free entrance, but also free meals and free camping
along with twenty four hour security for all who remain on site. To make a donation, mail a check to Kingsway Church with
