Our first University Worship of the year is tomorrow, Thursday, August 27th at 1:00pm!
We will be immensely blessed by the musical gifts of the 2026 Matriculation Choir and the ever-talented Dr. Melissa Plamann on the organ. The service will feature leadership from our Religious Life student interns and staff, our message of hope will be provided by Rev. Aly Shahan, and we will celebrate Holy Communion (which is a sacrament that is available to all who attend)!
University Worship is OCU's weekly community worship service that provides a moment of pause, re-centering, and connection with our Creator. These services are held in the sanctuary of the Bishop W. Angie Smith Chapel (near the Gold Star Building and right across from Walker Hall). We are diligent to end these services by 1:50pm, so our community has plenty of time to make it to any 2:00pm classes.
No rehearsals, meetings, practices, or classes should be held during this hour each week, so that all who wish to attend are able. If attending a Christian worship service is not for you, you are encouraged to take this hour to rest, journal, meditate, or care for your heart, mind, or body and use this hour as a spiritual health hour.
No matter your involvement in Religious Life, or your commitment to faith, you are invited, worthy, and welcome exactly as you are!
If you are unable to attend in person and would like to join us virtually, the service will be livestreamed at www.facebook.com/religiouslifeocu
