Genesis 8:22 says, “As long as the earth remains, there will be planting and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night.”

This Word of God reassures us that the changing seasons are part of God’s plan, and there is purpose in the changes.
Fall reminds us of God’s provision and blessing. We must reflect on the abundance we have received and express gratitude to the Creator for His provision.

The fall season holds a spiritual significance as well. It calls us to let go of the old and embrace new beginnings.

2 Corinthians 5:17 reminds us, “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!”

The trees shed their leaves to prepare for new growth in spring, we also must let loose of what no longer serves us. We need to make room for God’s transformation in our lives
We need to move through the fall season and allow it to remind us of the promises of God. Our lives may go through different stages, just like the seasons change. But our faithfulness needs to remain constant. Let us grasp the opportunities for growth, renewal, and gratitude that the fall season brings.

Talk is Cheap! Be DOERS of God’s Word
1 John 2:1, 3, 4, 6 [The apostle John writes about]…Jesus Christ, the Righteous One… [3] We know that we have come to know him if we keep his commands. Whoever says, “I know him,” but does not do what he commands is a liar, and the truth is not in that person… [6] Whoever claims to live in him must live as Jesus did.

Many Christians are willing to talk about their faith and about the Lord. Unfortunately, not all of those are obediently translating their faith into the actions and conduct commanded by the Lord. The number of those talking the talk includes some not walking the walk. Another way to say this is, “hearers only” of God’s Word are not the same as the faithful doers of that same Word. God is not pleased with this, and He deals with this issue in the Scriptures. May the Lord lead each of us into a heartfelt self-examination that leads to us faithfully "walking the talk."

There is never a day that goes by that we do not need God’s grace and peace. Every morning we need His Spirit to fill us again, to strengthen us for what’s ahead. Every day we need a fresh word that He speaks to our hearts, to help keep our focus on what’s more important. Trying to run this race of life without Jesus will do nothing but drain us dry.
The people of Israel spent 40 years in the desert, wandering in circles. Times were intense, hot, and dry. They got weary. But God met them where they were. He made sure they had what they needed. They learned how much they had to rely on Him through every hard and grueling step.
They were hungry, and God sent manna. Every day a miracle was there, right before their eyes. They just had to pick it up.
“When the dew was gone, thin flakes like frost on the ground appeared on the desert floor. When the Israelites saw it, they said to each other, “What is it?” For they did not know what it was.
Moses told them, “It is the bread the Lord has given you to eat. This is what the Lord has commanded: ‘Everyone is to gather as much as they need. Take an omer for each person you have in your tent.’”
The Israelites did as they were told; some gathered a lot, and some gathered very little. And when they measured it by the omer (gallon), the one who gathered much did not have too much, and the one who gathered little did not have too little. Everyone had gathered just as much as they needed. Then Moses told them, “No one is to keep any of it until morning” (Exodus 16:14-19).
And just like the people of Israel had to gather it fresh every morning in the wilderness, it is with us. They couldn't store it up; they had to look for it daily. And God always provided. Each morning it was there, waiting for them. Every day He made sure it met their needs, they were satisfied, they were nourished, and they were cared for. And they never lacked.
That's what He does for us every single morning. Sometimes we miss it, we become so busy or stressed out. We try to get things going too fast, spinning wildly, trying to get it all done, and sometimes we might start to forget what matters most.
But even for those times, His grace is there. He waits for us. His patience and His peace are always there.
Each day, His miracles are all around, right before our eyes. We just have to choose to look for them, pick up His provision, and stay close to His Presence.
Jesus covers our past, and secures our future. He gives us all that we need for this day too. He promises that as we come to Him and allow His truths to nourish and saturate our lives, we will be satisfied. We will have all that we need to live abundantly and freely in this life.
Don’t waste another moment trying to do life all on your own strength. We were never meant to carry the load and burdens that we face daily; we will always fall short. But we can live in and through His power. It’s a daily choice.

For many people, Memorial Day is the unofficial start of summer.
Falling on Monday, May 27 this year, it's a federal holiday, and much like Labor Day or July 4, banks, credit unions and the post office are closed in observance of the day.

Families often use the three-day weekend as an opportunity to host backyard cookouts or spend the day at the beach to kick off the summer season.

Memorial Day, however, is also a designated day of remembrance for U.S. military personnel and intended to honor those who've given their lives in service to their country.

To pay tribute, we've gathered a list of Memorial Day quotes to recognize those courageous men and women who've made the ultimate sacrifice.
Established in 1868, Memorial Day was initially founded in remembrance of Confederate and Union soldiers who perished in the Civil War. In the decades since, the holiday, which is also referred to as "Decoration Day," has come to represent all Americans lost in war.
On Memorial Day it is common for friends and families to remember loved ones with flowers, flags and mementos placed at their gravesite.
However you choose to spend Memorial Day this year, take a moment, to thank members of the U.S. military for their service.

Monday afternoon we had some visitors show up at the Church to see the Eclipse. Two of them were young missionaries who are going to Turkey to minister to others. We spent a goof bit of time taking to them. It was very interesting to hear their story.

Picture shows the outside light come on when darkness came. How exciting and beautiful to see God’s work.

This is a communion table setup for our Good Friday Service. Make notice of the nail. We passed it around to feel what went into the hands and feet of Jesus.
