PLH has received several grants over the years from the district. Come see where your mites are making a difference. Registration is $15. It is with great sadness we share past LWML Iowa West District President Lois Kotz has entered her eternal rest in heaven. Kotz served as district president from 1974-1978. Praise be to God! The $20,000 mission grant for Lutheran Family Service was delivered to Kayla Ewing by Deb Schmidt, LWML Iowa West District Secretary this week.

The grant will reach out and serve vulnerable pregnant women and their babies with lifesaving, life-changing messages of hope and help. It is estimated that 7,500 women may face unwanted pregnancies in Iowa West communities. Lutheran Family Service offers support, care, information, and truth spoken in love, sharing messages of God's forgiveness, grace, and salvation that are freely available for them and the children they carry.

President Brenda here. We are a little over a month away from our Fall Retreat. We will be at Perry Lutheran Homes this year, September 19th. See the flyer below as well as the information that went out in eNews this week for more details. Rather than collect and bring items to Perry we are supporting a wish list on Amazon to support their Birthday Blessings ministry. I just placed an order and it was very easy! Someone smarter than me with technology will post the link to this page.
