Day One of Camp Iqra is officially in the books and what a start it was. 🌱

Imam Thabet opened with an interactive Tafsir session that had our mentees leaning in, hands up, minds engaged, turning ayat into real conversations they’ll carry with them. Shaykh ElBakri sat with our mentors and mentees answering questions, and the suhba that followed was full of honest discussion, exactly what mentorship is meant to look like.

This is what Camp Iqra is about: learning, questioning, and growing together.

Alhamdulillah for day one. And insha’Allah, there’s so much more to come.

Alhamduillah, we accomplished exactly what we set out to do! Our students presented the beautiful Names of Allah, helping others understand their deep meanings. 💫

But beyond the presentation itself, the real win was the journey. Practicing together, supporting one another, and learning as a team.

“It was mainly because we were doing it as a team… connecting with people and learning about Islam together really helped with that connection.” 🤝

This is what community-driven Islamic education looks like, kids learning, growing, and building bonds while deepening their understanding of Allah’s names. 🕌📖

🧩 Quizzes & mentor-led discussions
📓 Personal portfolios to track their learning journey

This year, we’re journeying through Juz Amma, one surah at a time, pulling out powerful themes to plant in our children’s hearts. Starting with Surat An-Naba and the theme of the Day of Judgment, we’re building their aqidah and strengthening their iman, one lesson at a time.
