oh the places you’ll go.

You rise to the standard around you.
Better people challenge your thinking,
correct your mistakes,
and show you what’s possible.
You either adapt and grow
or stay behind.
That’s why your circle matters.
Because improvement
is not just effort…
it’s environment.

Addison North is a model for community development rooted in Flint, aimed at demonstrating what a thriving, empowered community can look like.

• Love
• Community
• Serving others

These values serve as the foundation for personal and neighborhood renewal, not just branding.

A major part of the Addison North mission is equipping people with the tools to become self-sufficient through:

• Educational workshops
• Life-skills training
• Leadership development
• Entrepreneurship support
• Mentorship programs

The goal is to break cycles of dependency and cultivate leaders who can influence their own communities.

Addison North is “more than just a building”—it is the heart of the community, a place where people come to:

• Learn
• Grow
• Connect
• Find support

This includes recreational activities, creative spaces, and programs that bring people together across generations.

Addison North is a support center for disadvantaged community members, offering help with:

• Education
• Housing needs
• Developmental projects

The aim is not charity alone—it’s equipping people to build sustainable futures. It empowers individuals and families in Flint through love, community, education, and practical support—so they can transform their own lives and, ultimately, their neighborhoods.

Addison North is a place where:

• People are welcomed
• Potential is nurtured
• Leaders are developed
• Community is rebuilt from the inside out.

About the meetup:

It’s a community gathering where artists and collectors bring a couple pieces (sketches, drawings, paintings, prints) that they’ve either created or collected, and share them with the room.

Each person gets about two minutes to talk through their pieces (why they matter, how they were made, or how they found them) and then the art gets walked around the room so everyone can actually see them up close.

It’s not formal. It feels more like sitting in a room with good people, hearing stories, asking questions, and getting to know each other through the work.

Some pieces are for sale and some are not. Every now and then someone connects with a piece and purchase it to take it home. Our goals is to create a new space for art to be seen and for people to feel connected to what’s being made around them.

We believe that communities don’t change from the top down—they flourish when individuals reclaim their power, purpose, and potential. When individuals rise, communities rise with them!
