Awaken Church believes that one of the most important things our church can do is to develop the next generation to be fully devoted followers of Christ.

It is the heart and passion of Awaken Kids to create a safe environment where children can experience the GRACE of God in a way that is age appropriate, exciting and relevant to them.

Tomorrow - Friday, October 7th - we have many great ways to receive assistance happening at our Awaken Outreach Center!! Join us Friday at 4940 Pan American, North Port, FL for the following:

11am-2pm
🚙 Drive-thru Hot Food Distribution (750 Meals) - partnering with the Laurel Civic Center!

🚚 Operation Compassion will deliver 24 pallets of Toilet paper, Paper towels, Snacks, Water, Diapers, Cleaning supplies & Hygiene items!

10am-4pm
🥗Awaken Food Pantry Walk Up - Fresh Food and Canned Products

🚿 Jesus Loves You Ministry Hot Showers!

Hi parents!

We are super excited that our new semester of Fast Forward Leadership Academy is about to launch! Fast Forward is an awesome opportunity for your fifth grader to grow in leadership and community at Awaken! Our theme verse for Fast Forward is Luke 2:52, "Jesus grew in wisdom and in stature and in favor with God and man." Our desire for our fifth grade students is that they would grow in their knowledge of the Word, grow in relationship with their peers, grow in their habits and grow in their leadership! This is a year long leadership academy experience and at the end they are honored at our Fast Forward Leadership Academy Graduation Sunday in May!

Students will memorize scripture, read the New Testament, experience serving in all of the different areas at Awaken and so much more! It is incredible to see how students grow in just one year and how much this experience prepares them for middle school!

Our first Fast Forward group is this Wednesday, September7th, from 4:30 to 5:45. If you have a student that might be interested, please contact Jacqueline Zdrojowy at [email protected]. We meet every other week!

I have the privilege of personally leading this class every other Wednesday. Fifth graders are kinda my favorite! I hope your fifth grader will join us!

Our Awaken Kids Ministry happens every Saturday night at our 6:00 pm service. We hope to see your kids as a part of this service, and are always needing help to make this ministry happen. Email [email protected] to get plugged in serving as a part of Awaken Kids.

This week in Awaken Kids we read through 1 Corinthians 12:12-31 and talked about the different roles in the Body of Christ! Our kids drew a picture representing who they are!

If you haven’t had a chance to check out our kids service on Saturday nights, we would love to have you join us! We meet on Saturday nights at 6pm at Deep Creek Community Church in North Port.
