33rd Bike & Hike Weekend

Weekend Details
Reminder: Damascus-Whitetop side of the Creeper Trail is completely closed
Friday Biking: VA Creeper Trail (Damascus-Abingdon side)
Friday Happy Hour: Back-side yard at Dragon Fly Inn
Saturday Biking: To avoid the shuttle traffic riding Abingdon to Damascus, we will be riding the Mendota Rail Trail about 35 minutes away.
We will be starting at Mendota parking lot which is more scenic (& hopefully easier:) than where we started last year. (www.mendotatrail.org)
Stop at Nicewonder Vinyard Tasting Room in Bristol on the way back (they serve food)
When returning back to Damascus, stop at one or both local breweries
Sunday Hiking: Grayson Highlands State Park
Sunday Dinner: in Sparta at the Mexican Restaurant on the way home
Attendees can do as much or as little with the group as they want.
Please let me know if you are going - I will be sending updates via text.
Meeting times for Saturday & Sunday will be decided closer to the weekend or Friday night - weather will be the deciding factor.

The Mendota trail is under active development with half of the trail now open from trailheads located in Bristol, Virginia.
