One thing God has been reminding me of is the
✨ MOMENTS that have MARKED me ✨
in walking out in my calling. For me, it wasn’t big crazy moments, it was a lot of little ones.

🙌🏾 I remember moments and opportunities my OG youth leader Mrs. B gave me the opportunity to lead a Bible Study Club after school.

🙌🏾 I remember when the Associate Pastor at my church asked me when I was going into my senior year of high school if I would be interested in helping teach Jr. Youth Sunday mornings.

🙌🏾 I remember the time my Pastor told me when I started interning at the church, that I’d have to preach on a Sunday morning and I nodded and agreed, but inside I was laughing saying you’re funny, not happening. And eventually, I did.

It’s through all these moments in MY LIFE that have MARKED me. They’ve stayed with me. I will never ever forget these life-changing moments in my life.

💚 THERE ARE MOMENTS IN YOUR LIFE THAT WILL MARK YOU!
God moments and God's opportunities you will never forget.

God has His hand upon you! He will give you opportunities beyond your wildest dreams! And He will grow you into the person

He’s created you to be as you continue to walk into the doors He opens for you!

Keep saying yes to opportunities that will help you grow into the gifts God has placed inside you! And the calling He has on your life! 💚

What power does a smile from a friend, or even a stranger have?

The Bible tells us that a cheerful look brings joy to the heart (Prov 15:30) and that a glad heart makes a happy face (Prov 15:13).

When we are down, a sincere smile from a friend can lift up our spirits, and when our friends are happy, we are happy too!

So, why not make that our own goals?
Ask the Lord to give you His joy, so that you always carry it with you, and who knows maybe you will bless someone today with that beautiful smile (Much like that of our President Sorangely and Relations Advisor, JJ😆😍")

What does "Encouragement" mean?

The English word means "the action of giving someone support, confidence, or hope". And that is what we are here to do: to give you support, build your confidence, and bring you hope.

A daily devotional is a tricky habit to maintain. Some days you are on top of the world, keeping up with it every day, learning and being filled with the word; other days, life just happens, and opening your Bible to read one simple chapter can feel like a monumental task.

Trust me, all of us here at Stay Encouraged have experienced this.

That's why we are here! We want to help you keep up with your devotional, connect deeper with God, and remember that our hope is in Christ!!

In today's society and the hustle and bustle of our lives, it is easy to go through the motions. Go day by day going through the same routine and never taking a moment to slow down.

God has been reaching out to me to turn to him in my busy season! While moving from one thing to the other, the Lord has encouraged me to be slow. To be at peace in stillness. To rest in him and his
word.
I have been guilty of going through the motions with giving my savior very little attention.

Even though I had other things to do, He never gave up on me.
He continues to reach out to me and remind me how great of a gift He has given me.

There is no routine or earthly measure that can take priority over our Father. He is the most important thing in our lives and we can’t live without Him.
Imagine if you used your phone for an entire week without charging it. It might start off strong and full of energy but eventually, it
powers off and can’t be used.

The same thing applies to Christ in our lives!

Every time I have returned to Him and His word after being absent from it, I feel recharged and rejuvenated!

Making time for your walk with Christ is a must as we go through our day-to-day!

Let's face it folks, we live in a world of darkness. If you turn on the news or see headlines shared by your friends on social media, it seems like there is hopelessness around every corner. In a world full of brokenness and hurt, the darkness can seem overwhelming.

What if I told you, that not only is there light in this world but it is found in you and me?

Scripture tells us that those who follow Christ act as a light to those around us!

Matthew 5:14-16
“You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden; nor does anyone light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on the lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. Let your line shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven”

Imagine a room so dark that you couldn’t see your own hand in front of your face. Imagine how much one light can help you navigate the darkness.
Then imagine another light and another after that. Soon there would be no place for darkness to hide!

In a world that seems hopeless to the lost, it is more important than ever for us to be a light to those around us. One light can
make all of the difference.

Let us not forget the importance of these two elements: the bread/cracker (representing Jesus's body) and the wine/grape juice (representing Jesus' blood that was shed for you and me).

As believers, these two elements mean more than just grape juice in a cup and a cracker. They represent what Christ did for us on the cross. The penalty for sin was death, but Christ came in the form of man to pay the price that should have been ours.

So, let us never forget the importance of the Holy Communion (the grape juice and the cracker) because His payment gave us freedom, mercy, and grace! I challenge you this week to read Matthew 14:22-25 and reflect on the meaning of taking communion.

I love that God wants us to have joyful hearts and enjoy life.

YOU! YES YOU!!
God has so much more in store for you than you might know!!!

You were made for more than just breathing air, more than just going to school and figuring out what college you’ll attend. God has so much more in store for you than you might know.

Currently, I have been in the book of Jeremiah, who was one of the prophets in the OT that pleaded with the Israelites to turn back to God and quit giving their hearts to idols. God had chosen this specific group of people to be His ✨chosen✨ people. He made them for so much more than what they were currently living.
TRUST ME… I’ve been there, I’m not perfect. I’ve made a buttload of mistakes. 🤭

You might know what God has called you to do and are walking in it right now, maybe you don’t and that’s totally okay too. One thing I do know is that God has given you a sphere of influence (the people and friends you are around often). You have the opportunity to impact others for the glory of God!

Check out --> Jeremiah 1:4-10 ESV
1. God knew Jeremiah before he was formed in his mother's womb
2. God had consecrated him even before he was born
3. God had appointed him as a prophet to the nations before he was born

You were born right here in this time in history to impact the world around you for the Kingdom of God!
Seek Him and ask Him to give you revelation and understanding of what that might be!

Values

What do you value most?

It’s an important question all of us should be asking ourselves each year. Values are important because they give meaning to our lives.

The thing you value most, you usually cherish and hold tight to your heart. The one thing I value more than anything else is God. He helps guide me as I go along this earth and gives me a better understanding of those things that I tend to value.
For me, if values help guide our decisions and actions, why not give them to God first and make sure those are the right choices were supposed to make.

As a ministry, we have many values but the three biggest are,

Our Social Media Presence
Building a Community among Teens
Being an Example

We want our presence to be felt and know that we’re trying hard to make a difference. While doing that, to build a community with teenagers all over, who are trying to get closer to God. Most importantly being a great example, and showing everyone that following Christ is the best decision, you can ever make!
