“What is it that you really need? Because what you define as a need will ultimately shape your life, it will direct your pursuits, it will fuel your disappointments, and it will even be a lens by which you evaluate God.”
-Pastor Steve Van Denend

In Mark 2:1–12, Jesus looks at a paralyzed man and goes deeper than everyone expects: “Son, your sins are forgiven.” This message invites you to let Jesus lovingly confront your definition of need and see your greatest need the way He does.

“Do you have friends who will carry you when you don’t have the strength to walk… who will lead you and point you again and again and again to Jesus?”
-Pastor Steve Van Denend

In Mark 2:1–12, four friends rip open a roof to lay a paralyzed man before Jesus, and “when Jesus saw their faith” He both forgives and heals him! This message calls you to consider the kind of friends you have—and the kind of friend you are—when it comes to bringing people to Jesus.

In Mark 2:1–12, Jesus doesn’t just prove He can heal a paralyzed man—He shows He actually wants to.

This message with Pastor Steve Van Denend looks at what Jesus’ authority to heal means for the things in your life that feel stuck, worn down, or beyond fixing. If you’ve wondered whether Jesus is both able and willing to meet you in those places, this is for you.

“You don't have to have some kind of perfect theology to come to Jesus. You don't have to have everything figured out and clean yourself up first. You just need to come with humble faith that he can make you clean.”

“Leprosy, throughout the Bible, has always been a picture of sin and its effects in our lives. Sin, like leprosy, starts small and then it grows. It numbs you from its effects, it often isolates you, and ultimately, it will destroy you.”

Have you ever felt like you’re on the outside with God, like you don’t really belong or can’t come close? In Mark 1:40–45, we look at how Jesus meets a man who’s been labeled and pushed out as “unclean” and shows what it really means for you to be made clean, worthy, and welcomed because of what He’s already done.

Have you ever felt like you’re sin keeps you on the outside with God, like you don’t really belong or can’t come close? In this Follow Me message from Mark 1...

If you could ask Jesus for one thing, what would you ask of him?
In this message from our Follow Me series in Mark, Pastor Steve Van Denend walks through Mark 1:29–39 and how Jesus’ rhythm of prayer, personal presence, and clear purpose speaks into your everyday life—especially when you’re tired, stretched thin, or just going through the motions spiritually. If you’ve found yourself coming to God mainly when you need something, this will help you rethink what it looks like to build a life with Jesus, not just work for him.

This message is called “Kingdom Power – Prayer, Presence, Purpose” from our service on Sunday, April 19th.
