In our last message, pastor Steve encouraged us with these words:
"It's not enough to call ourselves family, Jesus calls us to love like one."

One of the ways we are discipling our youth is by encouraging them to love one another.

The expectation is not that they will all be best friends, but that they will treat each other in the best way.

This week we had a fund night of food, mini golf, and of course, LOTS of laughs!

"It's one thing to say the church is a family. It's another thing to live like it.
Family shows up.
Family knows who you are.
Families carry burdens.
Families tell the truth.
Families forgive.
Families celebrate.
Families sacrifice.
Families make room.

Family doesn't just disappear when it's inconvenient or challenging, and family doesn't simply ask, "What is it that I get from this relationship? Family asks, "How can I love and serve you?
So, ask yourself: Who might God be calling you and inviting you to love more intentionally in His family? Who is it that God might be calling you to forgive and show grace to? Who is it that you've kept at a distance because they're different from you? Who do you need to show up for or encourage or carry a burden with? Because it isn't enough to call ourselves family, Jesus calls us to live like that. And this is something that Jesus didn't just model for us, it's something that Jesus died for us to have."

In James 2:19 it says, "You believe that there is one God. Good. Even the demons believe that and shudder."

In our passage from Mark 3, Jesus silences the demons who recognize him as the Son of God, showing his authority over evil. But knowing who Jesus is isn’t the same as following him—discipleship means choosing to walk with him.
