First Christian Church, Norman Urban Garden Harvest Season
-To grow fellowship, serve the community and teach stewardship by planting, nurturing and harvesting healthy food-
Greetings, and thank you for your interest in the Garden! We have come a long way in the last 8 months, we are finally ready to start harvesting some food! After several work days, lots of w**d pulling and side dressing, the time has come to begin reaping what we have sown. Over the next few months food will be available from the garden, and we need your help to get it harvested. While our eventual goal is to provide this food for little more than sweat equity in exchange for those that need it most, right now we would like provide our church family with the opportunity to partake in the goodness that the earth has grown. We will have several opportunities during the week and on the weekends for our church family to come and harvest food to take home to their families. We will have someone from the garden committee present each day to assist in proper harvesting and take care of any problems that may arise. We will set a defined start and end time for harvesting, but the food will be available first come, first served, so be sure to arrive on time! See the schedule below, and please let us know if you are interested but unable to make any of these dates, we will do our best to accommodate you.
Please consider the value of this produce when harvesting and donate as you are able. All funds received will go directly to the yearly maintenance fund to keep the garden going.

Monday - Pre-bagged vegetables available after Vespers
Tuesday - No Harvesting
Wednesday - BYOB! 6:00-8:00 PM Harvest fresh vegetables and help with any maintenance projects.
Thursday - BYOB! 6:00-8:00 PM Harvest fresh vegetables and help with any maintenance projects.
Friday - No Harvesting
Saturday - BYOB! 8:00 AM - Noon Harvest fresh vegetables and help with any maintenance projects.
Sunday - Pre-bagged vegetables available after the second service.
