Praise God from whom all blessings flow. We praise Him for the gospel that made a way when there was no other way. We praise Him for pursuing our hearts while we were far from Him. We praise Him for opening our eyes to our need for a Savior. We praise Him for loving us, saving us, and His presence with us! What an amazing baptism Sunday at Mission. Continue to pray with us for these who have decided to follow Christ!

God’s chosen King is the only ONE who can cure the torment we’re under.

Pastor Neil showed us this Sunday: The presence of God — Jesus Christ — refreshes all those in torment and makes us well.

David was just a picture. Jesus is the fulfillment.

God does not lie or change His mind. When we fear Him above all else, we’re free to reject the pressure of people and simply obey His word.

Pastor Neil’s challenge this Sunday: Reject the pressure of people and their voices. Accept the commands of the Lord and His words.

Partial Obedience Is Still Disobedience

Saul said, “I have obeyed the voice of the Lord.” But he had obeyed only in part.

Pastor Neil called it exactly what it is: partial obedience is disobedience.

We do the same thing. We obey 90%…and call it good. We twist God’s clear commands to fit our comfort or gain.

God sees the whole heart. No spin. No excuses.

God is calling us to full obedience.
