We are so very grateful for the grant which we received from Norfolk Churches Trust helping us to maintain the condition of our beautiful rural church. They are correct when they say a warm welcome is offered at all of our services, not only around the wood burning stove but within the whole church.
Our next service is Sunday 11th January at 11am, the fire will be blazing awaiting the congregation 🔥
The most warmest of welcomes, just what is need as the temperatures lower.
This stove can be found at the grade I listed Larling St Ethelbert, named after St Ethelbert King of the East Angles.
With no electricity the church is heated by this wood-burning stove, light comes from oil lamps and candles, and the organ is hand pumped, truly a step back to simpler times.
The Norfolk Churches Trust awarded a grant of £3,000 in 2022 to this church towards repairs to the roof, upper walls and gable ends, including a new stone cross for the gable end.
