Last October was deeply in love with one of the creations in the "Winds of Change" Collection. Unfortunately, she wasn't able to claim that piece in time. Yet, she couldn't stop thinking about how much that creation spoke to her and would've fit her brand.

The next day Ruby claimed a Custom spot and shared how she wanted to use that creation as inspiration, while also adding her gorgeous dusty blue brand color and more ivory throughout!

While I was painting with her custom color blends, I couldn't help but think that although she thought the other creation would fit her brand, this Custom was going to be PERFECT for her!

Seeing this gorgeous gallery arrive in my inbox confirmed just that!

A year ago today .photo and I hosted "Eternal" at . Little did we know that only a couple weeks after this event our whole world was going to look incredibly different...feel entirely different.

It has been a whole year since I have hugged someone that isn't in my imitate family, and for someone that loves to hug (as you can see in these photos) that is a loss that I miss dearly.

However, I refuse to write a post about all the sad things we still can't do (we all know them all too well, right?). I'd rather write about how these photos remind me just how special the wedding industry is.

This industry is made up of incredibly talented dreamers who work tirelessly to serve others, have the most creative minds, believe in community, and have resilient souls.

Nothing, not even a once in a decade global pandemic can take those fundamental attributes away from you. So keep holding your beautiful head up high, and know that we are on our way to much better days...together 💕!

Wow. Is it really Friday already?! Time flies when you're a new dog mom! Thank you again for all the excitement and love for Zion! We've been soaking in all the precious moments (and the countless crazy ones too 😅)! He is a true blessing, and we’re absolutely in love with him!

Our hearts and family just grew by 🐾 🐾

Friends, we are beyond excited to introduce you to...ZION!!!

We wanted to choose a meaningful name that encapsulated our past and future as a family. Zion means heaven, heavenly city and we thought it would be a beautiful way to honor our sweet boy Hemi. He knows that we have a lot of love to give and would never want us to limit that. and I truly believe he is looking down at us, gently wagging that big ole tail of his, and will be with us every step of this new journey.

It’s safe to say we are already deeply in love and oh yes...he’s Sophie's brother!

Did you know that I spend as much time on each elysian collection without a paint brush as I do with one?

Yes, it’s true.

There is a great amount of work that goes on beyond the scenes before I even start talking about a collection or share the final creations.

The process starts with conceptualizing the overarching message I want to convey a few months prior. Once I have settled on an idea, I start gathering as much research and inspiration as possible. From there, I draw rough sketches and start journaling about the topic, this is where many of my names for the pieces are born.

Once I have gathered enough information and feel confident to tell the story, I start hand mixing all the unique colors that will be used individually on each creation that help tell the story and evoke emotions. Finally, I'm able to bring it all together and paint one-of-a kind Art Styling Surfaces for all of you!

Throughout each collection there are always hurdles and challenges, yet I remind myself that true artistry comes from being resilient in the process.

For the art of the PROCESS, is what creates the SOUL in art.

If you know me well you know that I love researching unique and profound words that hold a deeper meaning. That passion is what lead me to stumbling upon the word elysian late one night, and it is also what lead me to finding the name for the upcoming collection...

“AGAPE"
| a * ga*pe* | /n./greek word

Definition: The highest form of love. Selfless, sacrificial, and unconditional love; persists no matter the circumstance.

While many this month tends to focus on external love, these creations swift our focus inward and has us recognizing, acknowledging, and celebrating one of the most challenging, yet rewarding types of love. Self love.

I'm honored to share with all of you the inspiration and names of each piece leading up to the collection launching next Wednesday, February 10th at 9PM EST via IG Stories!

The incredibly moving and timely creations that made up the "Mend Our Souls" Collection are on their way to their new Forever Owners! Although it is always hard to say goodbye, I couldn't be happier knowing they'll be arriving to doorsteps soon and starting their new journeys!

While I'm sending some of these pieces to returning clients (love y'all SO much), there are also some new clients that have joined our elysian market family...and when I say family, I mean it!

To me, selling art isn’t just merely a transaction. It's a TRANSFORMATION of a deeper everlasting connection between myself and my client's.

You see, you aren't just getting a pretty one-of- a kind piece of artwork. You're also getting a supporter, a very loud cheerleader, and a friend who cares deeply about you and your business!

At the end of November I was contemplating when to launch this upcoming “Mend Our Souls" Collection. I had spent countless hours working on these moving creations, and they were ready to be released into the world in December.
However, after a great deal of reflecting, I found myself pausing and listening to the profound feeling in my heart telling me to wait. So I did.

After the disgraceful and completely despicable events that transpired this week in our nation, I was reminded once again how art can be such a timely vessel of communication when words seem to fall short.

My deepest hope is that this pieces bring hope and light to all of you in these unprecedented days. May we all take time to truly reflect and start opening the door to peace within our own daily lives, so we can start the process of mending our souls and our nation's.
