Long post but a warning!
In prayer this morning, I heard the Father say this about his children. This is a perverse generation. Very rebellious and whorish in their hearts.

Their hearts are no longer attached to me and have departed from me. Their eyes are seduced by what they see in this world and go wh***ng after it, the idol things. They dare to bring their idolatrous hearts in my presence and attempt to worship me. They cannot conjoin idol worship and my presence, I will not accept it or them.

For example Solomon was a man of God, he built the Temple of God, had much wisdom and knowledge but he disobeyed the Lord in one simple thing. God told King Solomon and the Israelites not marry people of other nations or associate with them because it would cause their hearts to turn. They were never to worship other gods. God told Solomon As long as he walked in integrity, obey all God commanded and keep His laws [statutes; decrees] and rules [regulations; judgments]. His house would have long life and give him what he did not ask for, riches and honor.

But King Solomon's heart lead him astray. He had an extreme admiration for women, which was lust for them. He desired them because of their beauty, power, money and bodies. He had to have them even if they worshipped other gods .He knew he was not suppose to worship other gods.The Lord told him not to turn away from Him in his heart. But Solomon's desires got the best of him, his lust took over, his feelings or some say emotions got the best of him.

His lust became stronger than the desire to please God and obey. He forgot about the promise and warning God told him. His heart was whorish, his lust for the women in his life moved him to follow after their ways, due to the disregard to God's word. His heart was separated from God. He began to worship their gods Ashtoreth and Molech. He built a high place (altar) for his wives to worship their idol gods Chemosh and Molech near Mount Olives the very altar of God where the Israelites worshipped. This choice King Solomon made caused the Israelites to join in their worship as well. The wives worship was detestable. They placed children in fire as a sacrifice, had or**es and had blood sacrifices to their gods.

In the beginning of Solomon's reign, he had much wisdom and was favored by God but his extreme admiration for women caused him to compromise.

This is what is happening today, the people of God have lost their reverence for God, there is no fear of Him. People are compromising their faith for the lust in their hearts. Some have given their lives over and will do anything for s*x, power, fame, money, possessions, and fun; all while standing in the presence of God. It is now the normal to live carnal or in total disregard to the fact the we have made a covenant to serve the true and living God. This has caused hearts to go astray from the GOD. Hearts are prideful, vain and easily enticed to do what God has commanded us not to do.

Can you imagine what it would look like if someone began to have s*x in the church while worship was going on? This would be detestable and perverse. It would not be allowed! But this is the very thing that is happening in the hearts of some. This is why the falling away or uncovering of some has started to happen in the church. The hearts of many have waxed cold. They are turned away by their very own lust.
God has given us a path to follow with no exceptions. The path of righteousness is a narrow way, which means as you go this way many things have to be dropped or loosened from you to walk on it. I pray as you read this, you take inventory of your heart and stay in the will of God that brings protection, direction, and provision.

Years before my mother passed away, I carried the pain of not having her in my life. We didn't talk on the phone or see one another in person. We were both so wounded by the seeds of the enemy. He feed us both lies like: she doesn't love you, doesn't respect you, she thinks she is better than you, she hates you, she doesn't want you in her life. All these things and more the enemy feed our thoughts about one another. But we were both longing for the same thing. Unconditional love from each other!!!

The last time without a relationship was 5 years we never said a word. We both went into our prayer corners and prayed. I don't know what she prayed, I never got a chance to ask her about it. All of a sudden I began to intercede for my family. My MAMA! At first, I told God how horrible she was, how much I hurt , how I felt abandoned, but how much I needed her in my life. I would say, "God I just want my mama!" Regardless of the anger I carried from the years of pain I endured, I still wanted my MAMA! I needed her in my life. That was the breaking point. He said Tamika it is ok to love her, and to forgive her. You have to release the anger. He showed me what happened to her, he even talked to me about things I went through as a mother that was similar to hers. This is when God began to change my heart. He began to quiet down my anger and soothe my broken soul. One day I got a chance to talk to her and all the pain was gone. It didn't matter anymore.

How did I get there you ask? Why would I want to forgive her after all I experienced?

Well I started reading the Bible about grace, love and forgiveness. Holy Spirit began speaking to me about honoring my mother. It became a hearts desire. I wanted to spend time blessing her life because she gave me life. She sacrificed for me period. Her body, her heart and her time. Yes she made many mistakes and fumbled my heart. But God showed me that my prayers were changing my view on who she was. He taught me to cover her and to see her how He saw her. That helped me give her grace and forgiveness and let it go. She deserved mercy too. He showed me how my anger was fueled by jealousy and bitterness. My eyes had scales on them. In those 5 years, the harden place in my heart began to be chiseled away without one conversation from her. Just me and the Father.

When we we did speak again, it was geniune. We were able to laugh, hug, cry, talk for hours. God blessed us before she died. He gave us both life before her death.

I want to encourage those that have issues with their mothers. Do not ever stop praying for them. I mean pray for their well being, their healing, ask God to bless the work of their hands, ask for love to overtake them. Take the time to tell God how bad you are hurting and ask him to show you how to heal. If He shows you an area that you need to repent, DO IT QUICKLY. Your obedience in this is vital. If I had not listened to God when he told me to call my mother and repent, she would have died carrying all that pain. I would have too. Within those 5 years, my heart was being reconditioned. I was able to understand where the wound was in our relationship. We kicked the enemy out of our thoughts. That simple phone call released us both from the prison we were in. He gave me the words to say to bring deliverance. He gave her the heart to be delivered. Her deliverance caused me to be at peace. I got the one thing I asked for, MY MAMA! I am so thankful we obeyed God. When she died it was hard but I was ok with the relationship. No anger was left.
