Emmanuel Church is a community of believers, centered in the Morningside Heights area of New York and a congregation of the Presbyterian Church in America.

Emmanuel Church is a community of believers, centered in the Morningside Heights area of New York. We call ourselves “Emmanuel” (“God with us”) because we believe that Jesus has brought God near to us. God’s nearness brings life to all that we do—to our worship, our friendships, our families, our thought life, our studies, and our work. We embrace Emmanuel’s love for the city and seek to share his beauty, truth, and goodness with the diverse communities where we live and work.

Free concert following our all church lunch! Vocalist Melinda DeRocker will be singing standards from The Great American Songbook with her jazz trio and clarinetist Paolo Marchettini will be playing his original compositions with pianist Sohyun Ahn.

This Sunday, we will consider the motivation and qualifications for serving in church leadership with hopes that it may stir ideas of people to nominate for leadership, but also to reflect on what a mature Christian life looks like so all of us can consider how we can align ourselves more with the great Shepherd who leads us through this world.
