Saint Mary of the Snow Society Society of Saint Mary of the Snow of Williamsburg, Brooklyn, is the oldest mutual aid society in New York.

Founded in 1888 by immigrants from Sanza, Italy, our Society organizes cultural, charitable, and spiritual celebrations for the community. Saint Mary of the Snow Society (Known informally as "Our Lady of the Snow") is the oldest Mutual Aid society in Brooklyn. Founded in 1888, we were established to help support the influx of immigrants arriving in Brooklyn from the town of Sanza, Provence of Sale

rno, Italy. Our organization honors a centuries-old tradition of celebrating the Feast of Our Lady of the Snow every year from July 27th - August 5th. We also hold numerous festivals, celebrations, charity events, cultural events, and fundraisers throughout the year!
