Today we honor Our Lady of Częstochowa, the beloved Black Madonna of Poland and a powerful symbol of faith, hope, and perseverance for the Polish people.

This feast holds a special place in the heart of our St. Margaret parish and community. We are blessed by the generations of Polish families who have made our parish their spiritual home and who continue to enrich our church through their deep faith, beautiful traditions, and devotion to the Blessed Mother.

For centuries, the faithful have turned to Our Lady of Częstochowa in times of joy, struggle, uncertainty, and thanksgiving-trusting in her loving intercession and her constant guidance toward her Son, Jesus Christ.

On her feast day, we join our Polish parishioners in honoring this treasured devotion and pray,
Matko Boża Częstochowska, módl się za nami.
Our Lady of Częstochowa, pray for us.

May Mary continue to watch over our families, our parish, and all those who seek her intercession.

Parents, in addition to our Little Saint Activity Bags (for our parish children ages 2-5), we have more for our young parishioners!

Beginning September 6, be sure to pick up a copy of MagnifiKid! in the back of the church for your children ages 6–10.

MagnifiKid! is a colorful, child-friendly guide that helps children understand the Mass and participate more fully each Sunday. Each issue includes the Sunday readings, prayers, responses, and other features written especially for kids.

It’s a wonderful way to help our children follow along, learn about their faith, and feel more connected to what is happening at Mass.

Pick up your child’s copy each week in the back of the church. Please help us spread the word to other families in our parish.

The Transfiguration of the Lord

Yesterday, we celebrated the Feast of the Transfiguration of the Lord—a powerful moment when Jesus revealed His divine glory to Peter, James, and John on the mountaintop.

For a brief moment, the disciples caught a glimpse of heaven, reminding us that Christ is truly the Son of God and that His light is stronger than any darkness we face.

As we continue through this week, may we allow His light to transform our own hearts. Through prayer, the Eucharist, and trust in Him, we too are called to reflect Christ’s glory to the world.

“This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased; listen to Him.” — Matthew 17:5

May the light of Christ shine through you today and always.
