Your partner is not a mind reader, unless he’s Mel Gibson in the movie “What Women Want”. This is why you have to express your wishes and expectations. Otherwise, according to Solomon, you will become sick, and all you will be thinking is: “What I want is crystal clear.” Remember, glass can also be murky.

We have both made it a rule to clearly say what we envisage and what we expect on a daily basis. This rule, in contrast to the offside rule, makes incredible sense. It helps us enormously to understand each other.
