The Ordinary for this High Mass of Requiem will be Haydn's Requiem in C minor. The Rev. Frank Fano is our guest organist and conductor. Art-Bryan Manabat, Assistant Director of Cantantes in Cordibus will direct the Schola. This Mass of Requiem composed by Haydn is especially appropriate because Pope Benedict of blessed memory loved Haydn writing: "Haydn's work is like Michelangelo's "Pieta" in its ability to transmit an "absolutely original artistic expression" which, at the same time, is in complete service to a moment of faith."
