The Deity of Jesus
Jesus Christ is not just a prophet or a teacher—He is God in the flesh. The Bible clearly reveals His divine nature. John 1:1 says, "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God." Then in verse 14, "And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us." This shows that Jesus, the Word, is fully God who took on human form.
In Colossians 2:9, the apostle Paul affirms, "For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily." Jesus forgave sins (Mark 2:5–7), received worship (Matthew 14:33), and declared, “I and My Father are one” (John 10:30), all of which are divine prerogatives.
Believing in Jesus as God is essential to the Christian faith. He is not merely a man sent by God—He is God who came to save mankind.
