Essek William Kenyon (1867 - 1948) was an evangelist, pastor, president of a Bible Institute, author, songwriter and poet. He is best known for the numerous books that he authored that are still in great demand today. Kenyon�s writings dramatically unfold the glorious truths of the revelation given to the apostle Paul in simple, concise language. He wrote for the spirit man, addressing the heart more than the head.
Understanding the Father-heart of God, who we are in Christ and the authority and privileges of the believer were central to Kenyon�s message. In his writings Kenyon calls the believer up and out of the mire of traditional unbelief into the deep, rich treasures of our redemption in Christ,
Kenyon was at the era were men and women which are fondly called God's General's were parading everywhere with miracles, some were even building empires, but Kenyon was busy educating the church with the knowledge of the finished work of Jesus Christ.
Kenyon was excommunicated and faced societal trial, and was called a mad man because of the mode in which he communicated the scriptures, some even called him an heretic because he didn't subscribe to the Gospel of attaining righteousness through one's effort or good deed, but rather he efficiently show's the believer his privilege in Christ, Kenyon authored many powerful books which are greatly demanded in the Christian world.
Historical Kenyon was born in Saratoga County, New York. At age nineteen, he preached his first sermon. He pastored several churches in New England and founded the Bethel Bible Institute in Spencer, Massachusetts. (The school later became the Providence Bible Institute when it was relocated to Providence, Rhode Island. ) Kenyon served as an evangelist for over twenty years. In 1931, he became a pioneer in Christian radio on the Pacific Coast with his show Kenyon’s Church of the Air, where he earned the moniker “The Faith Builder. ” He also began the New Covenant Baptist Church in Seattle. In addition to his pastoral and radio ministries, Kenyon wrote extensively.
There was a time Kenyon invited a guest minister to bless his congregation at the end of the sermon the guest speaker asked Kenyon congregation whether any is sick among them that he needs to pray for? but his great surprise none came out from these thousands of people, the guest waited for a while but to his surprise no one came out, then Kenyon went to his guest and told him, servant of God, 🗣️ WE DON'T HAVE ANY SICK HERE FOR ALL ARE MADE WHOLE BY THE LIFE OF GOD, even after when Kenyon has gone to be with the Lord, the city which Kenyon lived never experienced any form of sickness for over 50 years.
Today we have a man called 👉 Dr Abel Damina who is radical and dogged in preaching the finished work of Jesus Christ, pointing the believer to what the believer have in Jesus Christ. That God isn't into any form of transaction with Men, because it was God's infinite love for Man that he offered himself for humanity. This made Religious fanatics and sect to pickup stone to stone him.
My take in the whole matter, Dr Abel Damina is being persecuted not because he is doing something new, this has been the results about those( Apostle Paul, E.W Kenyon, Charles spurgeon Kenneth E. Hegin), who takes the Stand to preach CHRIST and him alone.
