WORLD IFA/ORISA FESTIVAL AND PILGRIMAGE 2026/2027 AT OKE IGETI, ADO EKITI NIGERIA
Odu: Irosun Ogbe (Ire Aiku)
Preamble
Greetings to you all in the name of Orunmila Bara Agbonniregun. The Ifa/Orisa Festival and
Pilgrimage for this year has come and gone, yet was a huge success despite a few hitches. Even
though the global harsh economic situation has caused immense worry, coupled with the high
fuel price in Nigeria and security concerns the number of Pilgrims who attended this year's
event was appreciated. So far, we have recorded Pilgrims who came from the Republic of Benin,
the USA, Venezuela, and Mexico. The transportation and logistics concerning trips to various sacred sites were well coordinated by Green Circle International. The Saftey and concern was handled by Directorate of State Security (DSS). The Ministry of Arts, Culture, and CreativeEconomy was ably represented throughout the program by the Permanent Secretary and otherofficials of MACCE. Special thanks to the PS in person of Prince Banji Adelusi for his usualcooperation in making the event a success. Those who could not attend physically joined virtually. As usual, the Odu Ifa that was revealed this year is Irosun Agbe (Irosun Ogbe) with IreAiku (longevity), and a recommendation of ebo. We also extend our gratitude to all the RoyalFathers who stood by us throughout the Pilgrimage period, especially HRM Oba (DR) RoufusAdeyemo Adejugbe Aladesanmi III CON, JP, OFR, Ewi of Ado Ekiti.

venerating our Ori very seriously this year. Ifa says to buy itan igala (antelope thigh) and add it to all the ebo to be offered, the antelope thigh will be used to do ipese for the elders of the night
and also to feed Ifa, so that we will increase in number. Ifa says that all the barren women will be

7. Ifa advises everyone to feed their Ori with a rooster, and to include akeregbe (gourd), two
rats, two fish, and red cloth in the ebo materials in order to avert imminent crises. Ifa says that
we shall be spared from the looming death wherever we are in the world. Ifa says that this Odu will manifest positively, and we shall not experience premature death this year. Moreover, there is a need for us to feed the departed ones (Egungun). Ifa says that we are surrounded by
abundant ire, but unfortunately, the ire is dormant. However, we need to offer ebo to activate the ire. Ifa also emphasizes that all awo should not engage in extramarital affairs as it is
dangerous for us this year.
On this, Ifa says:

8. Ifa warns us not to disrespect our elders or those in a position of authority. This is to avoid
any negative consequences. There is a need to offer ebo with a rooster, okete, eggs, gourd,
kolanuts, palmoil, and money.
On this, Ifa says:

9. Ifa advises pregnant women to offer ebo in order to prevent the situation where they will lose
their lives during labour. The ebo materials here are one matured he-goat, four bottles of palm
oil, and money. On the other hand, Ifa advises those looking for the fruits of the womb to offer
ebo in order to receive blessings and elevation from outside their domain. If they had not been
initiated into Ifa yet, they need to do so immediately. Ebo materials here are four guinea-fowls, four pigeons, and money.
On this, Ifa says:

10. Ifa also says that it foresees the ire of childbearing for our women. Ifa advises the women looking for the fruits of the womb to offer ebo with two pigeons, two guinea-fowls, two hens, four rats, four fish, and money. They also need to consecrate the icon of Egbe and feed it
regularly. The Egbe is to be consecrated with Ajere, a perforated pot, and the Egbe should be
inside the house where they live. The feeding materials for the Egbe should include Ekuru,
Akara, Sugar cane, Adun, and all other edible fruits available at that time.
On this, Ifa says:

11. Also, Ifa advises us to offer ebo so that our pregnant women will deliver safely this year.
Also, those women who have suffered from conception issues or involuntary abortion will have cause to smile this year.
On this, Ifa says:

12. Ifa advises us to offer ebo against crises and restlessness. Ifa warns us against meddling in
matters that do concern us to avoid putting ourselves into unnecessary trouble. Ifa advises us to stay indoors for seven days to feed our Ori and Ifa. And to procure a male dog to feed Ogun for
protection over crises that may be life-threatening.
Ifa says our Ori will support us this year. We need to regularly feed our Ori in order to fulfil our
hearts' desires.
On this, Ifa says:

13. Ifa says that good things are coming our way this year; therefore, there is a need to offer
ebo so we can achieve it.
On this, Ifa says:

14. Ifa also reiterates that we should offer ebo so the forthcoming ire doe does not elude us. We
are, however, warned not to claim to be too wise or knowledgeable, so we do not drive away
the ire by ourselves. To achieve this ire, we are advised to offer ebo with two snails, okete (big
rat), one hegoat, Ifa herbs, and money.
On this, Ifa says:
Akurumputu pamo gboun

Won ni ko rubo ki oye naa ma baa foo lori
O gbebo, o rubo

15. Ifa advises us to offer ebo against an unconsummated fortune and an unaccomplished
mission. Therefore, we need to offer ebo with seven stones, held in the right hand, add iyerosun
with the Odu Irosun Ogbe, and thrown away in the bush. By so doing, all misfortunes and all
unproductive and unprofitable encounters and experiences will end in our lives.
16. Ifa says we should be patient with ourselves and that we should not fight each other over
trivial matters. Ifa advises us to avoid quarrels, exercise patience, and not do anything that may
drive away people from our midst. Ifa advises us to offer plenty of alcohol and use it to feed Ifa
so that our good things will not turn bad. We must learn to tolerate each other and live in
harmony. Ifa also advises us to apologize to those we have offended. Conversely, we need to
have a forgiving heart for those who have offended us. Ifa advises us to develop deep intuition to discern matters in order to avoid miscarriage of justice. On these, Ifa says:
17. Ifa advises us to desist from fighting unnecessarily. Ifa says we should let Ifa fight for us. We should not be estranged from each other, especially husbands and wives. Ifa says that there are some women who are maltreating their husbands, that they should desist, else they may live to regret, and their action may backfire on their children. They are advised to offer two snails, esinsin leaves; grind the leaves and mix with snail juice and use to rub the eyes. This enables such women to witness the achievements of their children.
18. Ifa advises us to buy liquor (gin), paint it with efun, and tie cowries around the bottle neck.
Put the bottle by the side of Ifa. Then use aja to remove the cowries and put them inside Ifa pot
and use the gin to serve Ifa. By so doing, Ifa will do what we want.
19. Ifa advises women to offer ebo concerning having stable marriages and a safe delivery for
pregnant women. Ifa advises all pregnant women within the organization not to abort any
pregnancy, as the children coming to the earth this time are great ones.
On this, Ifa says:

20. Ifa says to send word and message to our Obas that they should take things easy and not be
hard on their wives and people. Ifa says there is plenty ire of childbearing and finding good
wives this year. Ifa says to offer ebo for good health and that there is ire of good health for us
this year. Ifa says to also be patient, as our pending blessings will get to us this year. Ifa advises us to practice fairness and equity in the distribution of benefits. Ifa says that there is a particular town where the Oba is already deceased. Ifa advises the people of the town to ensure that the rightful person is installed as the Oba so that peace and progress can reign in the town. On the other hand, Ifa says that if we are being cheated and denied our rightful inheritance, we should offer ebo and exercise patience. In the end, we shall prevail and possess our possessions. Ifa advises us to offer ebo and to feed Ifa with a she-goat.
On this, Ifa says:

21. Ifa says that the enemies are throwing spiritual missiles at us and are trying to cause
misunderstanding, altercation, and discord in the organization. Ifa advises us to offer two
roosters, two hens, kolanuts, alligator pepper, bitter kola, and money. We also need to procure
ominsinminsin leaves to prepare akose for protection. This akose will be prepared as soap and will be used to bathe on Esu. Also, Ifa says those among us who are involved with farming
should not physically do any farming labor this year, but rather they can employ laborers to
work on their farms this year.
On this, Ifa says:

22. Ifa says that it forbids someone from going to a particular place in order for this person not
to meet with calamity. People are watching this person in that place, and he/she must know
the period that Ifa forbids him/her from going to the place in question. Ifa says that this person
must never fight over legacy because that is one of the areas where he/she can meet with
disaster. Ifa advises this person to offer ebo with one mature he-goat, needles, blades, and
money. Generally, Ifa is advising us not to take advantage of our position to maltreat or
dispossess other from their rightful possessions.
On this, Ifa says:

23. Ifa advises us to offer ebo with plenty of liquor for the blessings of Aje (wealth). Ifa says that
we shall be blessed with abundant wealth, a good spouse, and children this year.
On this, Ifa says:

24. Ifa reiterates that it foresees the ire of prosperity and financial success for us this year. We are advised to consecrate Aje and feed it regularly. The ebo materials here are four white
pigeons, four guinea-fowls, and money. We also need to feed Aje with one white pigeon and
honey. At the same time, we need to feed Ifa with four guinea-fowls.
On all these, Ifa says:

25. Ifa says we shall see and experience goodness this year with an abundance of Aje (wealth). Ifa says there has been pending issues that require attention and resolution, that we should use 4yards of stick and wrap it with black and white tread and then take a rat and use it to wrap off the black and white tread from the stick prepared and then put the rat on the ebo to be offered (4 Pigeons) and that all the pending issues will be resolved for us by Ifa.
26. Ifa says that some people are of the opinion that they are being denied certain things. Ifa
says one of the problems and major concerns and thoughts among us, Ifa and Orisa devotees in
this organization, is that some of our members feel we are being shortchanged and cheated by
other members, and that they are being hindered from receiving their full benefits, and this has
been an issue from the inception of this organization. Ifa says this will all come to an end and be resolved when we propitiate the IYAMI. This was noted in an interaction between Orunmila and the Iyami when they worked well together and were offered a turkey leg, and then there was a quarrel about who would take the turkey leg. Then, the Iyami told Orunmila to take the turkey leg; however, things started going badly for him after taking the turkey leg. Then Orunmila went for divination and was instructed to offer ebo with a full turkey. Ifa advises us, the Ifa and Orisa devotees, to know and practice fairness and be empathic towards each other.
On this, Ifa says:
Okanjuwa kii je won oi moo pin
A difa fun Orunmila
Baba nlo bawon Iyami pin tolotolo
Ebo ni won ni ko se
O gbebo, o rubo
IFA also says we are to use turkey to feed Ifa and the Iyami.
27. Ifa says many of us are in debt and that we can improve our situation by helping those who
have not, and the less privileged. Ifa says whenever we want to embark on any enterprise or
business, we should first feed Ifa with obi gbanja, and that by so doing, we will be successful in
our business endeavors. Ifa says that it foresees the blessing of all ire of life for us this year. Ifa
advises us to offer ebo with 30 kolanuts with two valves, Gbanja. There is a need to break one
kolanut with two valves for Ifa for 30 days. While breaking the kola nuts, we will be narrating all
that we need to Ifa, and they will be accepted.
On this, Ifa says:

28. Ifa says the kind of ebo we should be offering is the type that will make us popular, be well
known, expand, and be a force to reckon with globally. However, we should offer rats and fish,
and as further instructed and just as the Sun and Moon went for divination, that they may be
known in this Odu. Ifa says we are to spread a mat and put up a light at the foot of Orisa Nla
(Obatala) for 7 days. This was the Ifa divined for Adigun, who was instructed to go and venerate
Obatala, and he complied and had good success and wealth. Ifa says some people have plans of
disruption for this organization, but they will not succeed.
29. Ifa says all the ebo that have been prescribed are to be carried out. Ifa says to take one hand
of Ifa from the ikin of the organization, put it into 1 elegede (pumpkin), and then use ewure to
feed Ifa, that Ifa will hide us away from iku (death) this year. Ifa warns all omo awo and adherents
not to be disobedient this year. Ifa says this year is full of plenty of wealth and money for us and
that all our movement and travels will be safe and good this year. Ifa says there are pending issues
that we have all assumed had gone bad and are not resolvable. Ifa says it is now time for it to be
resolved and sorted. Ifa says we should all go and check our houses for akeregbe (gourd) and offer
it as ebo with 3 eko, 3 akara, with chicken feathers and iyerosun, then to be put at the crossroads so that iku (death) will not find us. Ifa says that all we want to do this year is to always ask Ifa about it and what Ifa tells us to do. Ifa says to get ilu ipese (Ipese drum) and to beat the drum for Ifa at 6 isan (9 days x 6), that we will not encounter deafness this year.
On this Ifa says:
Ifa kiko nii mu ni mo’fa
Ona sisi nii mu ni mona
Ona ti a ba mori ri

Ona kan tig bara wa
Ona kan ti gbara wa
Ona mejeeji sera won kere kere kere

30. Ifa says that next year we should feed late Prof. Odeyemi with agbo, ram, as there is a
particular thing he tried to do but was unable to get it done while he was with us, Ifa says it is
now time to get it done and resolved that Ifa will help us actualize it now, that before the next
morning all our transitioned fathers will lend their support to us all. Ifa says we should not be
boastful concerning our abilities and capabilities, that it is Ifa, Olodumare, we should be trusting
and depending on, and we are to direct our clients as such, too.
Ebo: turkey, mortar, Ajija 2, plenty of alcohol, blades, needles, white and black threads, four yards of stick, 16 snails, pumpkin, she-goat, eko, ram, tortoise, porcupine spikes, antelope thigh, kolanuts, bitterkola, gin, palmoil, and money.
