Dear Friends & Supporters:

I and the entire Project Education team would like to express our heartfelt appreciation to everyone who donated during our recent Project Education Month of Giving.

As you’re aware, we were forced to cancel this year’s Breakfast for Education, our chief fundraiser benefiting underprivileged children in Saint Lucia, due to the ongoing global COVID-19 pandemic. In its stead, we held our first-ever GoFundMe (www.gofundme.com) virtual fundraiser, designating June as the “Project Education Month of Giving.”

Your generosity, and that of so many others like you, made this effort the tremendous success it was. Thanks to your donations, we were able to ship two commercial bins of backpacks filled with school supplies to Saint Lucia for distribution to needy children, as well as twenty tablets.

We are also deeply indebted to Saint Lucian pop fusion artist Miguel “Eempey Slicker” Paul and his team for organizing and hosting their invaluable contribution to this year’s benefit, the “Virtual Concert for Education.” Featured were a number of New York City-based artists, including CJ Jookdem, Taller Dan, Yung Image, Ria Black, DRC, Wildfire and Alma Boy. Saint Lucian makeup artist and entrepreneur Tala Albert hosted. A very special thanks to Watch Radio NYC and Digital Bashment!

We look forward to having you join us at future events benefiting the Saint Lucian community in these difficult times. It is through sharing that we remain a community.

Warm regards,

Jeremiah Hyacinth
