Комитет Русской Православной Молодежи предлагает Вам новый календарь на 2026 год, когда мы отмечаем 45-летие со дня прославления новомучеников Русской Православной Церковью Заграницей в 1981 году.
В послании Архиерейского Собора того времени говорилось: «Таким образом, то, чего никто другой не мог совершить, с благоговением и трепетом перед кровью, пролитой мучениками, совершил Собор восемнадцати епископов Русской Православной Церкви Заграницей, как малая часть всей Русской Церкви, но от её имени». Состоявшееся прославление вселило новые надежды в архипастырей, духовенство и верующих Зарубежной Церкви, ибо они верили, что по молитвам новомучеников произойдет освобождение Церкви на Родине и возрождение России и всей Русской Православной Церкви. В 2000 году Всероссийский Собор прославил царя Николая II и его семью, а также известных и неизвестных новомучеников и исповедников.

С самых ранних времен христианства Святая Церковь бережно хранила и чтила память мучеников, и мы, современные православные русские, не должны забывать о страданиях, которые претерпели многие верующие в прошлом веке в годы гонений. Это не древняя история, и не тема, интересная только специалистам. Мы, потомки жертв, не должны забывать, не должны быть равнодушны к их судьбе. Это наши люди, наши родственники, наша недавняя история – и просто стыдно забывать об этом.
Пусть память о наших новомучениках не будет стерта, но пусть они прославляются из рода в род.

The Russian Orthodox Youth Committee offers its new calendar for 2026, the year we celebrate the 45th anniversary of the glorification of the New Martyrs by the Russian Orthodox Church Abroad in 1981.
The Message of the Bishops’ Council stated at the time: “Thus, what no one else can do, with awe and trembling reverently before the blood shed by the martyrs, the Council of eighteen bishops of the Russian Orthodox Church Abroad did commit, as a small part of the entire Russian Church, but on its behalf.” The glorification that had taken place raised new hopes of the archpastors, clergy, and believers of the Church Abroad, for they trusted that through the intercessions of the New Martyrs the liberation of the Church in the Motherland and the rebirth of Russia and the entire Russian Orthodox Church would take place. In 2000, the All-Russian Council glorified Tsar Nicholas II and his family, as well as known and unknown new martyrs and confessors.

Since the earliest times of Christianity, the Holy Church has carefully preserved and honored the memory of martyrs, and we, present day Orthodox Russians, must not forget the suffering that many of the faithful endured in the last century during the years of persecution. This is not ancient history, or a topic of interest only to specialists. We, the descendants of the victims, must not forget, we must not be indifferent to their fate. These are our people, our relatives, our recent history - and it is simply shameful to forget it.
May the memory of our new martyrs not be erased, but may they be glorified from generation to generation.
