Please Let Us Be Able to Sacrifice for Something Bigger

Beloved Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, we come before You with humble hearts. Your Word teaches us that “greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends” (John 15:13). Today, we do not seek families simply for our own comfort, but that our families may become living sacrifices (Romans 12:1), offered unto You, so that through them Your kingdom may advance from tribe to nation, and from nation to the whole world.

Lord Jesus, You taught us that “whoever wants to save their life will lose it, but whoever loses their life for Me and for the gospel will save it” (Mark 8:35). Help us to embrace this truth, to go beyond our comfort, beyond our own people, beyond our nation, for the sake of the cross and for the salvation of the world.

We long to embody Your heart, O Christ, who “though You were rich, yet for our sake You became poor, so that by Your poverty we might become rich” (2 Corinthians 8:9). Make us a people who love the world not with worldly love, but with the sacrificial love that flows from Your Spirit. May our lives shine as testimonies of Your grace, calling the lost to repentance and new life in You.

Teach us to count everything as loss compared to the surpassing worth of knowing You, Jesus our Lord (Philippians 3:8). May we carry our crosses daily, knowing that to follow You is the greatest calling. If trials come, let us rejoice, for “the testing of our faith produces perseverance” (James 1:3).

Father, let us live not for comfort or gain, but for Christ and His kingdom. May our families, our tribes, our nations, and even our very lives be placed on the altar as holy offerings unto You. And when the day of victory comes, may we stand before all creation as sons and daughters, clothed in Your love, hearing Jesus say: “Well done, good and faithful servant… enter into the joy of your Lord” (Matthew 25:21).

We pray all these things in the holy and precious name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

"Let no one despise your youth, but set the believers an example in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, in purity." (1 Timothy 4:12)

Whatever God loves the most we must also love.

1. Love for Humanity:

"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life." (John 3:16, NIV)

2. Righteousness and Justice:

"For the Lord is righteous, he loves justice; the upright will see his face." (Psalm 11:7, NIV)
"He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God." (Micah 6:8, NIV)

3. Compassion and Mercy:

"The Lord is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, abounding in love." (Psalm 103:8, NIV)
"Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you." (Ephesians 4:32, NIV)

4. Obedience and Faithfulness:

"If you love me, keep my commands." (John 14:15, NIV)
"Now it is required that those who have been given a trust must prove faithful." (1 Corinthians 4:2, NIV)

5. Humility and Service:

"Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up." (James 4:10, NIV)
"For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many." (Mark 10:45, NIV)

6. Love for One Another:

"A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another." (John 13:34, NIV)
"Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God." (1 John 4:7, NIV)

God has many ways to provide for all your needs. Philippians 4:19 says, "My God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus." While you might rely on one or two sources, like your job or another income stream, remember that God is not confined to these alone. He always has fresh, new ways to meet your needs!

Isaiah 60:6, "A stream of camels will come upon you, bringing gold and frankincense, and they shall proclaim the fame of the Lord." This scripture indicates that you can expect God to bring new sources of supply into your life!

An example of this is found in Genesis, where Isaac was meditating in the field and his future wife, Rebekah, approached him on a camel. Genesis 24:63 says that Isaac "lifted up his eyes, and saw, and, behold, the camels were coming." If you read the entire story, you'll see a train of camels following her, laden with riches and gifts for Isaac (Genesis 24:53). These camels brought a new supply from the Lord, one that Isaac had never anticipated.

Do you need a new supply in your life today? Trust that God can do for you what He did for Isaac! Begin proclaiming, "The camels are coming! The camels are coming!" By reaching out with faith and expecting new streams of God's provision, you can see them start to flow into your life!
