There is a scientific article about the death of Jesus, published in 1986 in one of the most prestigious scientific journals in the world—the JAMA, The Journal of the American Medical Association.

The article is titled "On the Physical Death of Jesus Christ".

In it the authors prove that the Roman flogging process was horribly cruel. Technical details are outlined, which, along with the Biblical narrative, provide a comprehensive overview of this entire process, from the trial to death on the cross.
Before judgment, it is narrated in Luke 22 that Jesus was in deep distress and sweating blood. Although a rare phenomenon, doctors recognize this feature as hematidrosis, which can occur due to high levels of stress.

After being judged, Jesus was violently whipped with a leather whip, with tiny balls of iron on the tips and pointy bones. The balls of iron caused internal injuries and bones tore apart flesh, exposing skeletal muscle and causing major blood loss, which probably left him in a pre-collision state.
After severe flogging, Jesus was mocked, spat on, and forced to carry his own cross to Golgotha.

During the crucifixion, the accused was thrown on the cross on the ground, and nailed with nails as long as 18 inches long on the wrists and feet.
Crucifixion was a process that produced intense pain and caused a slow and suffocating death.

Breathing was extremely painful. With every breath, Jesus had to lift his back up in live flesh, dragging it across the wood, and supporting all the weight on the feet, which were nailed. Fact that it increased blood loss and caused terrible pain.

The causes of death by crucifixion could be several, but the two most common were hypovolemic shock and suffocation from exhaustion.
When the Gospel of John narrates that after Jesus' death a soldier transfered him with the spear and came out "blood and water", the scientists explanation is that the water probably represented pleural fluid and serous pericardium and habr It was preceded by the flow of blood and it would be less volume than blood. Perhaps in the scenario of hypovolemia and acute heart failure, pleural and pericardic flashes could have developed and been added to the apparent volume of water.

Only by analyzing Jesus’ physical suffering, do we realize how terrible it must have been to endure all this.
Intense stress, sleepless night, unfair judgment, inhuman lashing, mocked and still having to carry his own instrument of death.

But even MORE so!

What "weighed" on His shoulders were our sins. Isaiah prophesied:
“But he was wounded for our transgressions, and he was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement that brings us peace was upon him, and by his stripes we were healed. "
|Isaiah 53:5|

He was the sacrifice. Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world.
Only God who became a man could reconcile men to God.
That's why we say sacrifice was for love, because He had no sin, we did. If sin begets death, it was us who were to die, not Him.
So all your rot, all your evil thoughts and actions, all your rebellion against God.. this was all on Christ's shoulders.
And He overcame not only sin but also death!.

When you think your life is too hard, that nothing is working, look at this picture and remember all that Jesus went through for the love of you. The punishment that brings us peace was upon HIM.

THERE ARE NO EXCUSES!

𝐉𝐎𝐘 𝐈𝐒 𝐎𝐔𝐑 𝐖𝐄𝐀𝐏𝐎𝐍

▪️There are people whose hearts are full of troubles; they’re worried about many things. They’re worried about their children, their health, business, etc. They just seem to have so many reasons to not be happy.

▪️Some may even say,

“With the things happening in my life, I need a change of environment; I need to travel somewhere I can really be happy.”

No! Don’t look to anything external to give you joy.

▪️Joy is one of the fruits of your recreated human spirit. So, it’s in you.

▪️Your spirit produces endless joy. It’s called, “…joy unspeakable and full of glory” (1 Peter 1:8).

▪️True joy and happiness have nothing to do with what’s going on around you.

▪️Our joy is independent of circumstances. We’re joyful in adversity. That’s what the Bible says: count it all joy, when you go through diverse tests (James 1:2).

▪️It doesn’t matter what news or event tries to make you unhappy; you can always be joyful in the Holy Ghost, for such is the Kingdom of God.

📖Romans 14:17 says,

“For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost.”

📖Ephesians 5:18-19 reveals how you can be full of the joy of the Holy Ghost always. It says,

“And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit; Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord.”

▪️This was one of Apostle Paul’s secrets of success; he wrote what we read in our opening verse, while in prison. He was full of joy, and continued to preach the Gospel in prison. In his letter to the Church at Ephesus, he said Pray for me:

“…that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel, For which I am an ambassador in bonds: that therein I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak” (Ephesians 6:19-20).

▪️He didn’t allow his experience to dictate his mood or interfere with the joy of the Lord in his heart.

⭐In your life, see challenges as opportunities to manifest the glory of God; that way, you’ll always be full of joy.

📖James 1:2 says,

“My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations.”

📖Romans 8:28 says,

“And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.”

▪️Let nothing knock down your joy because joy is our weapon!

𝐖𝐇𝐀𝐓 𝐈𝐒 𝐋𝐎𝐕𝐄?

▪️What is love?

It’s that endearing value of a person that gives you a sense of his or her importance to you as the object of your favour.

📖1 John 3:1 says,

“Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God! Therefore the world does not know us, because it did not know Him.”

▪️The word, “bestowed” also means “lavished”; the Father has lavished His love on you. It’s love without limits.

▪️Think about it: we who shouldn’t have been known of God, who shouldn’t have ever come close to God are now, as a result of the superabundant love He’s lavished upon us, accepted of Him.

▪️Therefore, that God loves you means you’re special and valuable to Him. This understanding will change your life and give you an extraordinary mentality.

▪️Always take out time to meditate on God’s love.

▪️Think about His grace, kindness and the fact that if you were the only one on earth, the Lord Jesus would still have given His life for you.

That’s how valuable you are to God.

▪️Dare to believe this and let it sink deep into your consciousness; it’ll change your life forever and give you a new confidence.

▪️God loves you with an everlasting love and has made you the object of his grace, glory, and righteousness.

▪️God loves you just the way you are.

▪️You didn’t have to impress Him to get His love or approval, for you could never earn it by your own actions, but by grace.

▪️He chose to love you.

▪️All you have to do is accept His love as simply as it has come to you, and be conscious of His love for you always.

📖1 John 4:16

And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.

📖Jeremiah 31:3

The LORD hath appeared of old unto me, saying, Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love: therefore with lovingkindness have I drawn thee.

3️⃣And why will God always want you?

⭐It’s because He loves you personally.

⭐He truly does.

⭐If you were the only person on the face of the earth, Jesus would still have come to die for you. When He made you, He made you to look and function like Him. He sees Himself in you.

Let this mean more than the world to you.

▪️Never allow Satan deceive you into thinking you’re not a real Christian because of something you did wrong.

⭐If you’re born again, you’re a real Christian.

⭐What the Word of God says is that you live out the nature of God that’s inside you. Walk in the Spirit and in righteousness.

Live according to God’s Word, because that’s your life.

⭐Every so often, say to yourself,

“I’m of the Spirit and I’m ruled and guided by the Word.”

⭐Study and stay in God’s Word and you’ll live above the deceptions, manoeuvres and manipulations of Satan.

⭐The more you study, listen to, and meditate on the Word, the more you walk as the Word admonishes.

This is because the Word has the power to produce in you what it talks about.

⭐Through the ministry of the Word, you’re strengthened, encouraged, your faith is stirred and you grow steadily in Christ.

⭐The more you grow in the Lord, in grace and knowledge of His Word, the less of sin you’ll find in your life; for sin shall not have dominion over you (Romans 6:14).

📖Romans 8:8-9

8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.

9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.

📖Galatians 5:16

This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.

📖I Corinthians 6:9-11

9 Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind,

10 Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.

11 And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.

𝐆𝐎𝐃 𝐊𝐍𝐎𝐖𝐒 𝐄𝐕𝐄𝐑𝐘𝐓𝐇𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐀𝐁𝐎𝐔𝐓 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟑

▪️𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟑 is not a new year to God.

It's a new year to the nations but not to God.

▪️God knows everything about 2023. He knows.

▪️God knows everywhere that you will go. He knows every person that you will meet. He knows every word that you will say. He knows every thought that will come to your mind.

And guess what?

God has the ability to change all of them.

▪️Imagine that you have a child crawling on the floor, and you can see something dangerous in front of him, and you know the child is going to pick it up.

Surely, you’re going to go ahead of the child to eliminate that danger.

If you’d do that, how much more our heavenly Father!

⭐That’s one of the reasons you can trust God to lead you. If you trust Him with your future, He’ll direct your path. If you trust Him, He’ll go ahead of you, and fix things.

⭐He can change anything for your good; for your advantage.

⭐Even if you’ve gone in the wrong direction all your life, if you’d embrace Him today, He’ll make everything right.

He can create for you a new destiny. He’s God Almighty!

Not only does He know everything about 2023, He knows everything about life. The future belongs to Him; He made it; without Him, there’s no future.

⭐Put yourself, therefore, into His guiding arms, under His Lordship, for His Lordship is the lordship of love.

⭐Trust Him without reservation, and He’ll make your life beautiful; He’ll lead you in glory and excellence, to fulfil your destiny in Him.

HALLELUJAH!!!

And the Lord has told us that 2023 is THE YEAR OF THE PROLIFIC CHURCH.

HE TOLD US OF 3️⃣ IMPORTANT THINGS;

1️⃣ PRIORITIZE THE SPIRIT.

⭐Prioritize the ministry of the holy ghost like you never did before.

⭐My brothers and sisters, The holy ghost created you. (Job 33:4)

⭐He made you. He is the maker. He is the performer in the Godhead. He actually fashioned you. His delight was in the sons of men. He always wanted to live in us and the Father fulfilled his dream.

⭐Every Christian must recognize him and fellowship with him. He wants to talk to you all the time. He wants to teach you and show you the way of the kingdom. .

He is the wisdom of God.

📖Proverbs 8:20-21

21 I lead in the way of righteousness, in the midst of the paths of judgment:

21 That I may cause those that love me to inherit substance; and I will fill their treasures.

⭐This is what He wants to do for you in 2023.

⭐He is the voice of God that talks to you, gives you guidance, instruction, that tells you where to go, what to say, what to write.

⭐He wants to lead you to inherit substance if you will let him.

⭐This world with it's fake, man-made poverty. You will never be a victim of it if you will listen to the holy spirit.

Think what he will do for you if you listen to him.

But you have to be born again and receive the Holy Spirit.

2️⃣ PRIORITIZE THE WORD OF GOD.

📖Colossians 3:16

Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.

⭐Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly. Not in small amounts. You've got to study it, meditate on it.

3️⃣ LEARN TO USE THE NAME OF JESUS.

⭐Most of us have only learnt to use the name of Jesus in certain situations. If you live your life like that, progress will be slow. Changes will be slow. If you want to see your life grow quickly and 'Bigly', you do it as the word says.

📖Colossians 3:17

And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.

⭐.. not some things. Not some times.

⭐Do all in the name of the alord Jesus. You will be amazed at the changes that will take place. You will be amazed at the results.

⭐Many just call him Jesus. They don't know him.

Talking about him is different from when you talk to him. When you talk to him, you call him Lord. After his resurrection, nobody called him Jesus. Respond correctly to him. Address him correctly, you will be amazed at the results.

When you talk to him, pray to him, sing to him, address him as Lord.

Whatever you do, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus.

⭐While some are celebrating and testifying about the year, some others may be feeling dejected, wondering why their lives were full of pain and suffering in the outgoing year, and then hoping that in the New Year, things will be different.

⭐Whether or not you had a fantastic, supernatural 2022, there’s hope for the future.

⭐You have to decide that you’re going to have an extraordinary 2023.

⭐God’s Word shows you how.

⭐If where you are right now isn’t where you want to be, it’s your responsibility to change things; and the tool for this is in your mouth!

📖1 Peter 3:10 MSG

Whoever wants to embrace life and see the day fill up with good, Here’s what you do: Say nothing evil or hurtful.

⭐If you want to have your days filled up with goodness and good things, use your tongue correctly.

⭐How do you want your life to be in the coming year?

It’s up to you!

Speak in line with God’s Word; in line with the experiences you want to have. It’s that simple.

⭐Your life goes where your words go; you journey in the direction of your words.

⭐Therefore, let your communication be wholesome.

⭐Don’t voice fear, uncertainties, and unbelief; affirm the Word.

⭐Practise this, and you’ll experience the blessings of the Word; your experiences will be in sync with the Word and the realities of the Kingdom life.

⭐Jesus said you shall have what you say (Mark 11:23).

📖Joshua 1:8

This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.

📖James 3:4-5

4 Behold also the ships, which though they be so great, and are driven of fierce winds, yet are they turned about with a very small helm, whithersoever the governor listeth.

5 Even so the tongue is a little member, and boasteth great things. Behold, how great a matter a little fire kindleth!

📖Psalms 34:12-13

What man is he that desireth life, and loveth many days, that he may see good?

13 Keep thy tongue from evil, and thy lips from speaking guile.

⭐As you go into the New Year, one of the critical decisions you must make is to yield your tongue to the Word!

⭐Practise talking right, and watch your life consistently go forward and upward!

My tongue is anointed to speak forth truths; truths relating to the Kingdom; truths of my heritage in Christ! I bless the Lord for a glorious New Year ahead, where I prosper exceedingly and triumph gloriously by the Word, through the Holy Ghost, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

✨️FORGIVENESS ✨️

Forgiving others of their wrong isn’t an option for a child of God. If you ever have an issue with anyone, whether your brothers and sisters in the Lord, or with outsiders, don’t let it go beyond that day. The Bible says, “...Don’t let the sun go down on your wrath” (Ephesians 4:26). Forgive, no matter how many times someone offends you, because you have enough capacity to forgive. If Christ Jesus forgave you, why should there be anything too much for you to forgive? We have the nature of God to forgive. This is why forgiveness is imperative; it’s not a piece of advice. You must always forgive, and quickly too. Let God’s love in your heart flow through you lavishly.

𝐖𝐇𝐎 𝐈𝐒 𝐀 𝐍𝐄𝐏𝐈𝐎𝐒?

📖1 Corinthians 3:1

And I, brethren, could not speak unto you as unto spiritual, but as unto carnal, even as unto babes in Christ.

▪️In 1 Peter 2:2, the Bible says,

“As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby.”

⭐Peter, here, was referring to Christians who had just newly received salvation and needed to feed on the sincere milk of the Word to help them grow, which is okay.

⭐But, in 1 Corinthians 3, Paul wasn’t referring to new converts. He used the Greek word "nepios".

⭐NEPIOS refers to someone who is childish in behaviour, attitude, understanding, and particularly, communication.

⭐The characteristic thing about a “nepios” is that he can’t talk right; he doesn’t have the intelligence of a mature person, and as a result, he’s unable to communicate sensibly with his speech.

⭐Some Christians are that way; they haven’t mastered the use of their tongue yet.

⭐Yes, the Word says they’re heirs of God, and joint heirs with Christ, but they can’t live the life of an heir, because they haven’t matured spiritually.

▪️ Paul rebuked the “nepios” for their continued need for milk though they were no longer children.

▪️He said,

“I have fed you with milk, and not with meat: for hitherto ye were not able to bear it, neither yet now are ye able” (1 Corinthians 3:2).

⭐It’s like when we tell people who have been Christians for a while,

“God is going to heal you today. He’ll make a way for you, where there’s no way. He’ll do your fighting for you; just stand back and see the salvation of the Lord.” That’s for “nepios”—babes.

Those who are mature don’t stand back to see the salvation of the Lord; they have their spiritual senses exercised, and go in the offensive to take what belongs to them.

▪️The Bible says,

“For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe. But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil” (Hebrews 5:13-14).

📖Galatians 4:1 says,

“…That the heir, as long as he is a child (nepios), differeth nothing from a servant, though he be lord of all.”

⭐Did you see that?

▪️Though an inheritance belongs to him, he’ll remain a servant as long as he’s a child.

▪️This isn’t God’s dream for His children; He wants them to grow spiritually.

▪️Only the Word of God can make you grow up strong and sturdy in faith.

▪️Give attention to God’s Word; it’ll build you up spiritually, mentally, and emotionally, and make you a champion in life.

▪️In Christ Jesus, you’ve been given dominion over circumstances.

- You’re superior to Satan and the forces of darkness.

- You have unlimited wealth, and access to limitless resources.

- You’ve been given the power of attorney to use the Name of Jesus and reign as a king in this world.

Nevertheless, as long as you haven’t learnt to talk right and talk the Word only, you’ll live as a victim.

▪️God has already given you everything you need to live triumphantly in life:

“According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue” (2 Peter 1:3).

📖1 Corinthians 3:21 says,

“…all things are yours.”

But here’s the key:

📖1 Corinthians 2:13 says,

“Which things also we speak…”;

Meaning that the same things God has said about you should be your confessions as well.

⭐However, you can’t speak them if you don’t know them, which is why you must get yourself trained in the Word of God.

⭐Be sure to be in church regularly to learn the Word of God.

⭐Study to know and apply the Word for yourself so you’ll be able to handle your inheritance, as well as know how to use the authority bequeathed to you in Christ.

📖Colossians 4:6

Let your speech [be] alway with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man.

📖James 3:2

For in many things we offend all. If any man offend not in word, the same [is] a perfect man, [and] able also to bridle the whole body.

📖2 Peter 3:18

But grow in grace, and [in] the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him [be] glory both now and for ever. Amen.

📖Ephesians 4:14-15

That we [henceforth] be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, [and] cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive; 15 But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, [even] Christ:

📖Romans 10:17

So then faith [cometh] by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
