All You Need

"Each time he said, ""My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness."" So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me. That's why I take pleasure in my weaknesses, and in the insults, hardships, persecutions, and troubles that I suffer for Christ. For when I am weak, then I am strong. (NLT)"
2 Corinthians 12:9-10

"Do you find that you keep running into your failures or weaknesses? When you are faced with the reality of your own weaknesses, it's humbling and cathartic. Change your attitude towards weakness and see it as an opportunity to look towards God to meet your needs. Ask God to step in where you falter. He is sufficient.

I Will Remember

"And I said, “This is my fate; the Most High has turned his hand against me.” But then I recall all you have done, O LORD ; I remember your wonderful deeds of long ago. (NLT)"
Psalm 77:10-11

"When we face difficult times, we are invited to look back and remember God’s goodness. He gives us the good to be an encouragement to our souls when we talk through dark seasons of our lives. So pay attention when God brings His blessings so they can be written on your heart as proof that God is for you even when your circumstances seem bleak. "

We Are His

"For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring. (NLT)"
Acts 17:28

"God tenderly reminds us that we are children too! We are His children. There are few things in this life that are more comforting in a season of difficulty than being in the presence of your parents. A mother’s hug can be one of the most restorative actions this world offers and that is exactly what God says He is for us! He’s our Father, our Safe Place, Refuge, Comforter, Wisdom-Giver, and Rest when we hit those moments where we just can’t anymore. "

Carefree

"Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you. (NLT)"
"1 Peter 5:7 "

"Are you allowing lies to define who you are? Do you live each day believing the lie that you are unloved, unworthy or unforgiven? God invites us to cast these lies, cares, weights aside! God desires us to live life carefree. To live our days secure in the knowledge that we are His loved ones. "

Reflection

"The person who made the idol never stops to reflect, “Why, it’s just a block of wood! I burned half of it for heat and used it to bake my bread and roast my meat. How can the rest of it be a god? Should I bow down to worship a piece of wood?” (NLT)"
Isaiah 44:19 \n

God explains to His people how silly it is for them to put their hope into a man made idol. He admonishes them for not reflecting on what they are doing. Why would a wood figure made by hand be able to offer salvation? How many things do we put our trust in just because someone else tells us this is a sure thing? We have to use our ability to reason to help us find truth for our lives. \n

Counted As Righteous

"But people are counted as righteous, not because of their work, but because of their faith in God who forgives sinners. (NLT)"
Romans 4:5

"We earn many things in life, such as money, respect, recognition and love. However, this is not the case with salvation. We cannot perform enough good deeds or say a magic number of prayers in order to be welcomed into Heaven. Salvation alone comes through faith and recognition that God alone is the only and true God."
