Mother’s Day Celebration at Shri Durgã Devasthanãm 🙏

A very happy & blissful Mother’s Day! 🪷

Everyone should consider it his foremost duty today to revere the mother as divine and serve her, regardless of country or circumstance. If a man cannot respect and serve the mother, who has borne him for nine months, brought him forth into the world and reared him over the years, whom else is he likely to respect? Maternal love is akin to that of the Creator who projects and protects this infinite cosmos in countless ways.

No one can replace a mothers love. It is ever so divine and transcendental that even a speck of her blessings can work wonders throughout her children’s life. We should cherish that love for eternity.

Sita Jayanti Celebrations at Shri Durgã Devasthanam 🙏

When we speak of Sita Maa, we are not simply describing qualities -

We are describing divine principles in human form.
Sita maa is not just good, she is the highest expression of Shakti living within dharma.

Sita Maa is the very definition of purity, not just physical, but:
Purity of thought
Purity of intention
Purity of devotion
Even in Lanka, surrounded by darkness, she remained untouched.

Sunday Dharma Satsangh at Shri Durgã Devasthanãm 🙏

Durga Maa's power is an awe-inspiring force, a convergence of divine energies that resonate with strength and fearlessness. It surges through her ten arms, each wielding potent weapons symbolizing various attributes. Her trident pierces through obstacles, the discus cuts through ignorance, and the sword demolishes negativity. The conch shell she holds resonates with the cosmic sound, proclaiming her authority over the universe. The thunderbolt she brandishes signifies her unyielding power to overcome challenges.

Yet, amidst this formidable might, Durga Maa's power is tempered by compassion and love. Her benevolent gaze radiates warmth, offering solace to those who seek her divine presence. She is the embodiment of Shakti, the primordial energy that propels creation, destruction, and preservation. In her power, there is not only the force to conquer darkness but also the nurturing embrace that nurtures the essence of life itself.

Grand Celebration of Sri Hanuman Jayanti Mahotsavam at Shri Durgã Devasthanãm 🙏

There is one character in the Ramayana whose actions are beyond reproach – Sri Hanuman, one of the greatest devotees of the Lord. We do not find a single incident wherein Lord Hanuman has committed any mistake or incurred blame and censure. He is the very embodiment of devotion, wisdom and service. This noble son of Vayu Devata has innumerable virtues.

The first thing that attracts us is Sri Hanuman’s immeasurable and incomparable physical strength coupled with great splendour (tejas). This brilliance is like a golden mountain. He possesses the rare quality of using his strength, not to scare ordinary or weak people, but to destroy those who afflict saintly persons. In addition to his physical prowess, Sri Hanuman is an embodiment of knowledge, foremost among the wise (jnani) and a repository of good and noble qualities. His thoughts and words are always pure. And above all, he is the beloved devotee of Lord Rama

The most admirable virtue of Sri Hanuman is his humility. Just as the wind remains with us twenty-four hours of the day, serving all beings without any desire for recognition and appreciation, Sri Hanuman served all without a trace of pride in his heart. He imbibed this great and noble virtue from his father, Vayu Devata.

Lord Rama, Himself, overwhelmed by Sri Hanuman’s service was filled with extreme love and gratitude for him. When the Lord expressed His feelings and praised him, Sri Hanuman, like a true devotee, fell at the feet of the Lord and with tears in his eyes disclaimed any recognition for his valorous feats giving all the credit to the Lord alone – so saba tava pratapa raghurai, natha na kachu mori prabhutai, . He declared that nothing was unattainable or impossible for a person on whom the Lord showered His Grace:

In the Ramayana we see that Sri Hanuman always has the name of the Lord on his lips and His image enshrined in his heart. It is this single-pointed devotion to the Lord that enabled him to overcome insurmountable obstacles and perform unimaginable feats, such as carrying an entire mountain and singlehandedly entering and burning down a well-fortified Lanka. What a noble an inspiring ideal of service coupled with utmost humility! It is no wonder that Sri Hanuman is considered the favourite devotee of Lord Rama.
