Reverend Christella Watts went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday. We honor and celebrate the life of a remarkable woman of God, a worshiper, social advocate and a trailblazer in her own right, becoming the first woman ordained as a minister at Thessalonia. Her legacy will continue to impact generations to come.

She was passionate about God’s Word and unwavering in her pursuit of Jesus. She challenged those around her to be authentic in their faith and intentional in their relationship with Christ. Through her leadership, service, compassion, and bold witness, she touched countless lives and pointed many to the Savior she loved so deeply.

While our hearts grieve her absence, we find comfort in knowing that she is now in the presence of the Lord she faithfully served.

“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.” — 2 Timothy 4:7

Her life was a testament to faith, love, justice, and worship. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

Well done, good and faithful servant.
