The Brooklyn Baseball Community Loses an Icon
It is with a heavy heart that we acknowledge the passing of Frank, a cherished figure within the Brooklyn baseball community. Frank was a dedicated member of the Our Lady of Grace Athletic Association Gil Hodges Little League and served with distinction as the NYC Federation and Regional Director for PONY Baseball.
Muccio President of the Cadets said, “I had the privilege of meeting Frank in 2012, and his unwavering support during the administrative processes for the 14U World Series in Arizona was invaluable. His commitment to the sport extended beyond mere participation; he was instrumental in coordinating Grace Field as a venue for the McElroy Tournament for many years, showcasing his dedication to fostering youth sports in our community. Frank’s presence was felt not only in his contributions but also in the wisdom and guidance he generously shared with those around him. His participation as a special guest at our last award ceremony underscored his significance to our organization, and his legacy will undoubtedly live on through the countless lives he touched.”
As we remember Frank, let us honor his commitment to baseball and the profound impact he had on our community. His knowledge and advice in all baseball-related matters will be sorely missed. May he rest in peace.
