Scripture Gem: When you are surrounded by trouble and all around you looks bleak, look up. Refuse to surrender to hopelessness, the LORD is on your side. Your problems may seem too impossible to handle alone, but with GOD all things are possible. This is the perfect opportunity to trust in the LORD for your deliverance. Never permit fear to blind your eyes to the glory of GOD. Threats and taunts from people should be ignored because your GOD is greater than any opponent.

There are tremendous benefits to relying on the LORD for your rescue. The LORD not only delivers you from the situation, He pours additional blessings into your life because you have trusted Him. Please understand that your trouble is the gateway to the favor and grace of GOD upon your life. From this day, change your perspective about your calamity; begin seeing it as the pathway to the glory of GOD.

Your words may be saying more about your spiritual maturity than you realize.

It is easy to speak when emotions are high, when we feel offended, or when we believe we are right. But James reminds us that maturity is revealed in how we use our words. Are they encouraging people, building them up, and producing good fruit — or are they leaving hurt behind?

Sometimes the strongest response is not another argument. Sometimes maturity looks like knowing when to speak, how to speak, and when to remain silent.
