The rainbow is often seen as a symbol of human identity or achievement. However, its biblical meaning, established by God after the flood, represents His mercy, faithfulness, and covenant promise to creation. It's a reminder of grace, not glory.

Have you ever been corrected by God and wondered why?

In 1 Chronicles 21, David sinned, repented, and then chose to place himself in God’s hands because he knew something powerful:

“Let me fall now into the hand of the Lord; for very great are His mercies.” (1 Chronicles 21:13)

God’s discipline is never meant to destroy His children. It is designed to restore them. When we confess our sins, submit to His correction, and trust His heart, we discover that His mercy is greater than our failures.

Don’t run from conviction. Let God transform you through it.

When faced with hardship, he turned to prayer, pouring out his heart to God. Like James, he prayed fervently. The most encouraging truth? God responded swiftly. Before he even finished, the Lord's message came: 'I have heard your prayer, I have seen your tears. I will heal you.'

Facing a difficult diagnosis? Praying for weeks, months, or years? Don't quit. Don't lose heart. The same God who heard Hezekiah's prayer and saw his tears still hears yours and is able to intervene. Continue to trust Him, stand on His promises, and believe God for great things. His presence is with you, always.

When facing a hopeless diagnosis, you might wonder if it's appropriate to pray. Hezekiah's story offers a resounding 'yes.' Prayer, faith, and seeking God are never inappropriate. As believers, we're called to bring every need before the Lord. While not every prayer is answered as we wish, scripture urges us to pray boldly, trust completely, and leave the results in His hands. Persistent, passionate prayer avails much.

The Bible warns that pride leads to destruction, but humility leads to grace and honor (Proverbs 16:18; James 4:6). Every time we see a rainbow, we should be reminded of God’s mercy, faithfulness, and promise—not man’s glory.

Pride exalts self. The rainbow exalts God.
