Performative Christianity is for hypocrites.

If the only time I’m sweet to my wife is at Long John Silver’s while people are watching, that’s a performance, not a marriage.

Jesus says prayer works the same way. A prayer life that only exists in public isn’t a relationship. His remedy is: go into the room, shut the door, and talk to your Father.

What a day! ✝️👑

The rain showed up early and tried to cancel our plans. It didn’t work. God was still good, and our people still showed up.

We spread out across Pasco County to serve schools, seniors, nonprofits, and parks. We got muddy, we got wet, and we saw God show up in every place we went. Then we ended the day around the table with a great lunch together.

Huge thanks to the places that let us serve alongside them:

We’re only five weeks into being a church, and loving our neighbors is a big part of who we are. This is who we want to be: a church that knows Jesus and makes Him known, right here where we live.

This is just the beginning.

This past Sunday we had the honor of welcoming Pastor Mark of The Bay Church as the first guest preacher in Cross & Crown Church history, continuing our series through the Sermon on the Mount.

We want Cross & Crown to be one part of what God is doing across Tampa Bay, not the whole story. Our prayer is to see gospel-centered churches saturate our community, and Mark is a big part of that prayer. He’s planting The Bay Church next fall, and we are cheering him on for the glory of God alone.

Missed the sermon? Catch his full sermon at the link in our bio or on our YouTube channel. ✝️👑

Therefore welcome one another as Christ has welcomed you, for the glory of God. Romans 15:7

We walk in as strangers, but we leave as family, because Christ welcomed us first.
