Why did we create Youth Ministry Leaders of New Orleans?
Because being a Youth Minister or Leader of any kind is hard work.
Anyone who doesn’t believe this, obviously hasn’t been in it very long.
Youth Ministry is a precious, yet challenging mission for all Christians blessed with the opportunity to lead the next generation of leaders. In New Orleans, this mission is even more more demanding.
I may be biased, but Youth Ministry is probably the most beautifully challenging area of ministry today.
We have been chosen to lead our youth despite the odds that are stacked against both their lives and our roles as Youth Ministry Leaders.
It can't be done alone. We need to join forces across denominations and across cultural barriers, in order to truly give our youth in New Orleans a fighting chance.
There may be other organizations with a similar mission, but they are divided by denomination.
This group is open to all who believe in Jesus Christ.
