We are so grateful for the generosity of Refresh Dental New Castle. As we close out May, we want to say "Bòn Fèt & Happy Birthday" to Wilsmithson who turned 18 this month!!! He is a great example of what happens when Christians come together to live out James 1:27. Wilsmithson was very young when he was sleeping on the basketball court in Minoterie (our home village). The people called him "Pou Lari" meaning "Street Guy". Michael took him in to the Children's Home and now here he is 18 years old and a fine young man!!

Thank you to all of you who have prayed for, supported, and served on mission teams with us. God is using you to write great stories like this!!!

We are praying for the equivalent of 29 donors at $100 each in the next few days to cover these needs.
1. The 9 yr.old girl with severe eye pain who needs surgery.
2. Ongoing care for 2 yr. old boy with cerebral palsy. His medical care and therapy are provided for. We are providing food, nutrition, medicine, diapers, and transport to the hospital.

This year, the Salt & Light Young Adult Group of Faith Country Chapel is raising funds to provide resources for children with physical, cognitive, mental, and neurological disabilities. You can donate by using the North Carolina Recovery Missions Designation at larochemissions.com/give

Shorts for toddlers through teens (up to Adult XL)

Sneakers (elementary through high school sizes)

Back-to-school supplies

Non-perishable food items

This is why we are still taking teams! The region is still recovering and rebuilding and rain events especially, like they are experiencing now, are concerning. Hurricane Helene drastically changed the topography of the region. No one really knows from one rain event to the next how the region will be impacted. The way the water flows down the mountain is different from before. I heard a local weather forecaster say it would be years before they would have more accurate prediction models for rainfalls and flash flooding because everything has changed. The old models are not reliable anymore.
