We have set Saturday March 29th at 8:30 as a work day at New Salem Cemetery. The south newer section needs to have row markers set. This involves digging 10-12 inch deep holes and filling them with concrete. We need 5 or 6 guys to do this. If you have a post hole digger, you may bring it, but we have extra. Please reply if you can help or text 417-389-3433.

It is almost time to mow, so we need a few people to clean the cemetery of sticks and trash. Thank you for any help you can give.

Cleanup day has been moved to Saturday June 8th at 9:00. This is so all board members can attend. There will be a short board meeting at that time.

Any grave decorations that you wish to reclaim, must be picked up by Thursday June 6th.

Cleanup day will be Friday June 7th.

Thank you everyone for the donations and for decorating the cemetery so beautifully. Any flowers you wish to reclaim must be picked up by June 8th. We will do a cleanup day on June 9th so the grass can be mowed again.

If you are interested in helping at the cemetery, please contact Clara Wilson at 417-389-3433. We still have a couple of openings for persons to sit at the cemetery on Memorial Day weekend to collect donations, help with clean up, or even to become a board member.

If you wish to reserve and pre-pay for a gravesite plot, you must contact Eugene Adams, Cemetery Sexton, at 417-825-4140.
As of January 29, 2022, all plots are $100.00 each.
