Modern Day Ruth Melinda is a woman in pursuit of the Lord Jesus Christ. In June 2005 Melinda was widowed, when through an act of violence Tim went home to be with the Lord.

They married in 2008, and she continues to serve there helping her husband minister to their congregation. As God opens doors at various churches and conferences, Melinda brings life-changing messages to her audiences as she shares her personal testimony and God's Word to edify, equip, and encourage the body of Christ.

Something special is coming soon…

Many of you know part of my story — a journey through unimaginable loss, forgiveness, and the faithful hand of God that led me from grief to destiny.

Soon I'll be sharing that story in Modern Day Ruth: One Widow's Journey from Murder to Destiny Through Forgiveness and Faith.
And alongside the book, I've created a companion Bible study workbook — The Kinsman's Promise. It's perfect for churches, small groups, or personal study, exploring the Book of Ruth through Hebrew word studies and reflective questions that point us to our ultimate Kinsman Redeemer.

My world was shattered when my husband was murdered, leaving me a widow in a landscape of grief I didn't recognize.

But like Ruth in the Bible, I chose to move forward into the unknown. Through the messy process of forgiveness and faith, God turned my mourning into a destiny I never could have imagined.

I'm so humbled to announce that my book, "Modern Day Ruth: One Widow's Journey from Murder to Destiny Through Forgiveness and Faith," is coming soon.

This is my heart on the page—for anyone who feels like their story ended in the ashes. With God, there is always a second chapter.

20 years… It seems like just a few years ago on one hand, but a lifetime on the other. I still find myself wanting to talk to you about the boys and the grands. Wanting to seek your advice , because you always had the answer. Wanting to see your smile, hear your laugh and your beautiful green eyes looking at me. You are missed and loved greatly, today snd everyday ❤️

Grief isn’t something you “get over” in a certain amount of time… grief is a journey. A journey where your life is spent trying live without your loved one by your side.
