BSCLN - Bivocational & Small Church Leadership Network

BSCLN - Bivocational & Small Church Leadership Network BSCLN is a network created to encourage assist and support Bivocational Pastors. Visit www.bscln.net for more details.

The Network is shared with Educators, D.O.M.'s, Pastor's Wives (PALS), and Regional Consultants that represent states across the country. We are not currently funded by any organization other than our own. Our goal is to encourage and affirm the Bivocational Pastors and Smaller Churches in their ministry. Many, if not all of this huge number of God Called Pastors feel isolated from main stream den

ominations. That is not the case; but, they will tell you that they feel that way. Today, many of our state conventions support strategist that work exclusively with their Bivocational and/or smaller churches within their conventions. Statistics show that smaller churches baptize more per 100 resident members than larger churches do. These churches are important to the Kingdom Work.

"I am one of the blessed ones who grew up “deprived”. We didn’t have smartphones (ours had a rotary dial and hung on the kitchen wall), computers (we had the 24-volume set of the 1970 Encyclopedia Britannica), or even a Gameboy or iPad (“Go outside and play but don’t go so far you can’t hear me call you for supper..."

What an honor it was to be with our dear friends at Airport Gardens for their Homecoming Service this morning!

64 years of faithfully serving the Lord and their community, and just 5 pastors in that time.

Bivocational Pastor Ernie Fugate is doing a great job leading this congregation as they love on Hazard, KY. I was honored to be asked to bring the message.

Afterwards, we enjoyed a wonderful dinner of chicken and dumplings, smoked meatloaf, ham, chicken and all the “fixin’s”, and sweet, sweet fellowship.

So thankful for faithful bivocational pastors like this. Over 30k across the SBC.

A New Resource for Bivocational & Small Church Pastors

We're excited to introduce Between Sundays, a new blog from the Bivocational & Small Church Leadership Network designed to encourage and equip bivocational and small church pastors, and those who walk alongside them.

The heart behind Between Sundays is simple: to share practical, biblical encouragement for the days between Sundays, where most of ministry and life are lived.

If you have a moment, we'd love for you to visit Between Sundays, subscribe (it's free), and, if you find it helpful, share it with the bivocational and small church pastors (and their wives) you know.

We pray it will be an encouragement to those who faithfully serve week after week.

Between Sundays is a place of practical encouragement for bivocational and small church pastors.

The first bivocational pastor I ever knew never called himself that. As a matter of fact, I am quite sure that none of his generation would have. The only title

It is time to sign up for Small Church Academy Summer Cohorts! We have an amazing lineup of cohorts available this season! No matter where you are in your ministry, there is a cohort for you.

Our cohorts are built on the conviction that ministry is not meant to be done alone. Through discussion about a book or a video series that is guided by an experienced pastor, shared experiences, and prayer, participants encourage one another, grow in their walk with Christ, and gain practical wisdom they can apply in their homes, workplaces, churches, and communities.

Where will you be encouraged this summer?

-Uniquely Bivocational by Ray Gilder (Mondays at 7PM Central)
-What Every Pastor Ought to Know (Mondays at 7 PM Central)
-Expositional Leadership by Dr. Shaddix and Dr. Pace (Tuesdays at 10 AM Central)
-What's So Spiritual About Your Gifts by Henry and Mel Blackaby (Tuesdays at 8PM Central)
