BSCLN - Bivocational & Small Church Leadership Network

BSCLN - Bivocational & Small Church Leadership Network BSCLN is a network of Bivocational Pastors and/or Smaller Churches. Visit www.bscln.net for more details. These churches are important to the Kingdom Work.

The Network is shared with Educators, D.O.M.'s, Pastor's Wives (PALS), and Regional Consultants that represent states across the country. We are not currently funded by any organization other than our own. Our goal is to encourage and affirm the Bivocational Pastors and Smaller Churches in their ministry. Many, if not all of this huge number of God Called Pastors feel isolated from main stream den

ominations. That is not the case; but, they will tell you that they feel that way. Today, many of our state conventions support strategist that work exclusively with their Bivocational and/or smaller churches within their conventions. Statistics show that smaller churches baptize more per 100 resident members than larger churches do.

It's time to sign up for your Winter Cohort!

Leading a small church comes with unique joys—and unique challenges. You don’t have to navigate them alone.

We’re excited to invite you to participate in Small Church Academy Winter 2026 Cohorts, an opportunity designed specifically for pastors of small churches. These cohorts offer a meaningful time of fellowship, encouragement, and practical study in a small-group setting.

Each cohort is:

-Led by experienced bivocational pastors who understand the realities of small-church ministry
-Built around peer connection, not lectures—learning from one another
-Offered in multiple time options, making participation more accessible
-Focused on real-life ministry challenges and growth

This is a space to build relationships, sharpen your leadership, and be encouraged alongside pastors who truly “get it.”

We would love for you to join us and be part of this growing community of small-church leaders. Spots are limited to keep groups personal, so we encourage you to register soon.

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out. We hope you’ll prayerfully consider joining a Small Church Academy Cohort.

Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! My name is Jamie Reynolds, and I am humbled and honored to have been called by your Board of Directors to serve as the new Executive Director of this wonderful network.

The history of this ministry is long and rich, and we are thankful for those who have gone before us—faithfully supporting, encouraging, and providing resources to those who shepherd Christ’s church. We are deeply grateful for their sacrifice and investment, even as we lift our eyes to the horizon to see how the Lord will continue to use this ministry in the days ahead.

While the specific methods of this ministry have changed substantially over the years, the core purpose has not: engaging, equipping, and encouraging bivocational and smaller-membership church pastors and leaders.

Going forward, we will seek the Lord’s wisdom and discernment regarding the best ways to carry out that mission in this season. I will work together with the Board of Directors, cohort leaders and many of you to find the most practical ways to support you in the ministry God has called you to.

My wife Rachael and I have been married for over 35 years, and we have 2 adult children and a son-in-law, and 3 wonderful grandchildren. Our marriage is truly a ministry partnership, and we bring 22 years of working together in vocational ministry service to the table. We look forward with joy to serving you together.

Please know that I am in your corner, and I serve—for the good of pastors, for the health of the Church, and for the glory of God.

“Now may the God of peace who brought up our Lord Jesus from the dead, that great Shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant, make you complete in every good work to do His will, working in you what is well pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen.”

What is SCA?

Small Church Academy is made up of small groups of individuals meeting with an experienced leader to support and lift each other up in Christ. These cohorts are provided and supported by the BSCLN and her partners. These groups commit to preparing for and then meeting together each week for one hour, via Zoom. Groups engage in directed discussion around the required reading or watching a video for the session, discussion on pertinent issues that the group’s individuals are facing in their respective ministries, and a brief time of prayer before closing the session.

Our Cohort leaders are pastors and leaders in smaller attendance churches who look forward to their time with other pastors.

If you would like to read more about SCA, head on over to the BSCLN website:
