There may be someone in your life you’ve already written off. Someone you’ve prayed for so many times that you’ve stopped expecting anything to change. Don’t confuse “I don’t know what God will do” with “God can’t do anything.”

And this isn’t just a message for the person you’re praying for. It may be a message for you.

If you’ve ever thought, “I’ve gone too far. I’ve rejected God too many times. God couldn’t possibly want someone like me,” Daniel 4 reminds us that God is not limited by how far gone you think you are.

Jesus is the Savior we could never be. He came full of grace and truth, went to the cross for sinners, took the judgment we deserved, and rose again.

Because Jesus is enough, we don’t give up on people. We meet them with grace and truth.

Daniel 3 isn’t ultimately telling us to simply “be brave like these three men.” It points us to the God they trusted—and ultimately to Jesus.

They entered the furnace rather than deny God.

Jesus entered judgment for people who had.

They refused to bow to an idol.

Jesus went to the cross for those who had bowed.

They trusted God with their lives.

Jesus gave His life for ours.

Because of Jesus, nothing can separate us from Him. The world may put us in the fire, but it cannot take Christ from us.

So when the pressure comes:

Don’t bow. Stand.

Not because you’re strong enough, but because you know whom you belong to.

Our God is able. But if not, He is still worthy. 🙌

Sometimes we pray, “God, get me out of the fire.” And God may do that. But sometimes God doesn't deliver us from the fire; He delivers us in the fire.

And that's the promise we have as followers of Jesus: not that we will never walk through fire, but that we will never walk alone.❤️

If you find yourself in the fire this week, don't assume God has forgotten you. Look for His presence. The God who was with Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego is with you too. 🙌
