DNA RESEARCH DEBUNKS DARWIN?

Wait! Everyone knows evolution happened! So let’s define terms. What is now in question (even in pro-evolution publications cited below) has been termed macroevolution, which is change from one FAMILY to another over deep time. Everyone agrees that speciation and adaptation within families occur; that's microevolution, and we see it all the time. But it has been assumed (perhaps falsely) that the lesser changes lead, over deep time, to the more dramatic family changes. To illustrate: Darwin’s finches had varying beak sizes, but were still all finches. Macroevolution has never been observed – missing link gaps are everywhere. Here is what research is now revealing:

Headline: mtDNA pattern missing. From Human Evolution, Vol. 33, 2018: The largest study of Mitochondrial DNA ever done produces shocking results. 100,000 animals and humans’ DNA was studied in order to find a connecting links that would reinforce common descent. They did not find that pattern.

But the greater shock came when scientists studied the mutation accumulation rates in the mitochondrial DNA. They found that in 90% of animals and humans, the “numbers” led back to the SAME TIME OF ORIGIN of the animals and humans. The time frame was 100000 to 200,000 years. This would mean that the standard geological column's time assessments could be all wrong! Interestingly, the findings fit well with the observed Cambrian explosion of fossils, which has always been a mystery to mainstream scientists. Headline: Darwin Must Mutate to Survive. This was the title of an article in Progress in Biophysics and Molecular Biology in 2022. Why would they say that? Because they see the huge proliferation of life forms and have concluded that the odds of it all happening via mutations and natural selection are one chance in 10 to the 50th power. That’s one chance in a trillion, trillion, trillion, trillion,trillion.

Headline: Lenski’s e-coli experiment now at 75,000 generations. The significance of this is that what began as e-coli, is still just e-coli, but with a couple (micro-evolutionary) adaptations. No “upward” steps have been seen after all that time. DNA size is the same. And it was the same with the fruit fly experiments, which produced sterile, freak, weak and dead fruit flies, but… just fruit flies.

Headline: We are not 98% similar in DNA to Chimps. This old study has been falsified because (look it up) we have 3.2 Billion base pairs of DNA, but Chimps have 3.8 billion base pairs. Do the math. We were never even 90% the same. And chimps were admittedly not our ancestral “grandparents”; we only supposedly descended from a common ancestor. Even if we were directly related, there would not be enough time to allow for way over 600 million DNA changes to occur.

Headline: Many Evolutionists Question Common Descent. Michael Denton, an evolutionist, long ago wrote a book entitled, “Evolution: A theory in Crisis” And one can see on-line now, a declaration that has been signed by over 1000 scientists (of varying worldviews) entitled “A Scientific Dissent From Darwin”. Many of the signers have done so knowing their livelihoods could be at stake. That speaks volumes!

NEW HEADLINE: DISCLAIMER NEEDED! I didn't realize that one of the Journals felt the need to publish a disclaimer with their article on mtDNA, saying in so many words, "we still believe in evolution". I can understand why they had to do that. The findings (if taken at face value) shrink the time scale of the geologic column to 1/20,000th of its currently stated time span! THAT is a "killer" for molecules-to-man evolutuion. (Ignore the evidence; WE know what's true.) Well, at least they were honest enough to publish the study.

I’m sure there will be some push-back from these findings, especially the first study. But will it be substantive? Will it be enough? It is now “science” against “science”. Which “science” will emerge as TRUE science?

IS EVOLUTION IMPOSSIBLE?

Both evolutionist and creationist scientists are asking this question related to the molecules to man type of evolution. Here’s why. More and more obstacles to the theory are being found. Here is a partial list, starting with Abiogenesis (creating the first living, replicating cell). This focus is included because without the first cell, no other kind of evolution can happen.

1. No parts list. There are 4 classes of molecules needed: lipids, carbohydrates, amino acids and nucleic acids. Lab attempts to fabricate these in a usable form under conditions like early earth, with an honest minimum of human manipulation have all failed. We have no parts in usable forms.
2. We have no good location. This is actually a water problem because while water or similar liquid is needed for motility in the formation of parts of a cell, it becomes the enemy as it is an effective dissolving agent. Rain would be a problem. A pond won’t work.
3. We have a time problem. I read that ribose has a half-life of 5 hours. Other elements have longer ones, but overall, time is a real problem, and temperature fluctuations add another layer to the time problem.
4. We have a chirality problem. It refers to handedness, and to put it simply, about half the elements available in nature to form a cell are unusable (not the correct hand) and if accidentally put into the forming DNA or other cell parts, ruin it.
5. We have another DNA issue. In the simplest replicating cell (a bacterium) there may be around 1 million letters (base pairs). Where does the specified, sequential information come from? Logic indicates that instruction books do not write themselves.
6. We have a 3rd DNA problem called a chicken-and-egg problem. DNA needs protection as it is fragile (dust storm?) A membrane or cell wall is needed. But such is made of proteins created via instructions from DNA. I see this as a show-stopper.
7. We have an assembly problem.(Polymerization) Pile all the car parts together and no matter what manipulation you try, they will never come together to function. Is “life” added in before or after all the parts are there to put together to encourage such? And the complexity of some molecular machines such as the bacterial flagellum, is a problem. This machine is much like an outboard motor for a boat. We are not building a mousetrap. It has been said that the inner workings of a cell are as complex as the inner workings of a large city.
8. The replication process. This is not a finger-snap either. Just thinking about it strains my brain. Shall we cut a frog in half and hope to get 2 frogs?
9. Last but not least on this first part of the list is “life”. It isn’t even simple to define. But if one cuts a frog in 4 pieces it loses life and even taping it back together (you have all the elements, properly assembled) isn’t going to work. I think of the Near Death Experiences…the reason they came back appears to be that their spirit left the body and then came back into it. How do we expect nature to manufacture such a life force?

Note that the above issues and many others are spelled out in great detail in a 13 part video series by Dr. James Tour, Phd. He has had dozens if not hundreds of peer approved articles published. The series is called Abiogenesis and Common Misunderstandings. It is 9 hours long. I am merely trying to do some simple summarizing of some of the issues.

10 The last issue moves on to biological evolution. If we assume we now have a simple cell of 1 million DNA base pairs of coding, then over deep time, via small steps, we must eventually add to the organisms’ genomes about 3 BILLION additional base pairs of coding. So there are 2 aspects of this problem: where does that specifically prescribed instructional information come from, and by what mechanism is it added to any existing genome without harming it. Mutations are known to be sometimes neutral, but harmful more often than helpful. To illustrate, one can never upgrade a computer code by adding in random code letters. It will soon be degraded or destroyed. While this is just one item on the list, we are talking about hundreds of thousands of steps (additions) which pervade every part of Darwin’s tree of life concept. Have we ever seen even ONE upward step of a creature evolving to the level of another family?

What are scientists actually seeing? Fruit flies were forced to mutate and the result was the fruit flies became sterile, degraded, freaks, or dead. At the end survivors were still fruit flies. And how FAST can there be any upward evolution? Richard Lenski’s project with E-coli has revealed 75,000 generations and counting. What “evolution” has occurred? Lenski identified 3 “adaptations” (his word) but the E-coli has not even changed into another species, let alone taken a single step upwards.

It is no wonder evolutionists are asking the question. Evolutionist Michael Denton wrote a book decades ago called Evolution: A Theory in Crisis. And an article not too long ago in “Progress in Biophysics and Molecular Biology” had the title “Darwinism Must Mutate to Survive”. Its concern was the huge variety of life forms that would require so much change (I think about wheat mutating into corn. No, it didn’t, but what WAS the pathway?). Further, one can find on line a Declaration entitled “A Scientific Dissent From Darwin” which has been signed by up towards 1000 scientists of all persuasions. Many of these signers (you can read the names) have done so knowing they could lose their jobs because of their stand, and some in fact HAVE had that happen. So much for the clever science mantra, “Question everything.”

My response to the question, Is Evolution Impossible is, “I would say that it is impossible.” Dr. Tour says with new research in molecular biology, MANY new problems are arising, which means the goal posts of creating life in a lab or anywhere keep getting moved further and further away. I think a few of these questions may in time be answered, but by then the list will be longer with other questions. What do you think?

ABIOGENESIS: Someone mentioned that it is true. Not to divert from the original 4 issues presented, but to respond, I did state that 4 elements are needed to create a cell. They are nucleo bases, sugars, amino acids and lipids. Dr. James Tour has said none of these have been created in a lab. The video entitled Challenge to Origin of Life: Biopolymers is only 11 minutes long, but deals with this. Evolution's Impossible! AM I WRONG?

DNA research devastates the molecules-to-man theory. Here's why.

Evolution supposedly started with a chemical blob that evolved from 0 to 3 million base pairs of DNA in a simple bacterium over deep time. How did that happen? DNA is sequential, specified instructions that can be read, the information transported out of the nucleus and then followed, including replication! Where does such complex information come from?

And by what mechanism is genetic information added to any evolving organism without damaging the existing genome? Genome size remains virtually the same in replication and reproduction. But humans have 3 BILLION base pairs of DNA, so over time, there would have to be a gain of two billion, nine hundred ninety-seven base pairs. How does that happen?

If we had just enough DNA to form just ONE of several hundred protein structures in a simple bacterium, the odds of it forming by chance are said to be one in 10 to the 164th power. (See Youtube video entitled Origins: Probability of a single protein forming by chance.) Specified DNA has to direct cell activity. Bottom line: NO TIME, NO CELLS, NO EVOLUTION.

Our cells silently scream "DESIGNED!"
