If you have gone through the entire Esther study with us, then a congratulations is for you! If you were not able to and you have the book, don't give up! I promise it will be worth it to finish it! If you were not able to join us for this study, don't leave us! I will be planning another Bible study in a couple of months.

For those joining the group study, tonight is the last night! But, we will be meeting Saturday this 21'st at 12:00 at Guacamole's restaurant for lunch and a time of fellowship. I hope you can join us!

This has been a great study and I have enjoyed the discussions with you all!💜

As I read the final chapter of Esther and turned over to the last week of the study book, I felt a little sadness. Although I have read Esther before, this study has deepened my understanding and it has given me a different perspective. There’s a lot more to do with the book of Esther than a young Jewish girl becoming a queen. I have enjoyed digging deeper into this book. Thursday will be our last day to meet and I’m going to miss meeting with everyone and having the discussions. 💜

Week 6!!

How are we doing on the study ladies?

We are almost there! Can you believe it? Only 2 more Bible studies. Remember, this week we are on week 6 and next week we will finish off with 7&8 so that we all have plenty of time with our families for Christmas.

Location will be Stone House @5:30.

I have enjoyed digging into this study and meeting every week and I hope that you all have too!

Also, I mentioned in a previous post about getting back together on a Saturday, either on the 21’st or on the 28’th. I want a chance for us to sit and fellowship and have some lunch. Please be looking at those dates and let me know which one fits best.

Good evening!

I hope you all had a wonderful holiday break. I spent most of mine resting and alone time.

I wanted to inform you all that we are still meeting this Thursday @5:30 but at a different location. We will meet at University Coffee on North Street. I will try to get a room that is upstairs. So look for us up there. (If there is someone who can not physically use the stairs, let me know and we will sit downstairs) The upstairs is more private and comfortable. But we can most definitely sit downstairs. )

Also, I know that this month will be getting busy for most of everyone, but I still want to try to finish this study. So here is an outline of what the coming weeks will look like: December 5th; discussing week 5, December 12’th; discussing week 6, December 19’th; discussing weeks 7&8.

I would also like for us to meet back up for lunch either on the 21’st or 28’th. Just to have a chance for fellowship. Let me know if this will work for all of you!

Hello all!!

I hope you all have had a wonderful Thanksgiving!

I have taken some much needed time to myself and disconnecting. I am going to continue to give myself more time throughout the rest of this weekend. But, I wanted to hop on here and share a little bit with you.

As I opened up my Esther study book to week 5 day 1, I found myself meditating on Esther 5:1,2.

“On the third day of the fast, Esther put on her royal robes and entered the inner court of the palace, just across from the king’s hall. The king was sitting on his royal throne, facing the entrance. When he saw Queen Esther standing there in the inner court, he welcomed her and held out the gold scepter to her. So Esther approached and touched the end of the scepter.”
‭‭
As I got to a question in the study: What happens to Esther (5:2)?

My response: When the king saw her, he welcomed her.

I then got this visual; me standing face to face with my King. Knowing I do not deserve to be in His presence. But, He welcomes me. He places a royal robe of righteousness and He welcomes me.

I then found myself sobbing as I meditated on this visual while entering into a place of worship with this worship song by: Anna Golden. It’s called: Take me there. Those words began to be my prayer. Take me there! Take me to be in Your presence. In Your courts where You place a royal robe of righteousness and welcome me.

“And You come like a rushing wind. I can’t speak or stand. Just cry Holy!”

Can I take this moment to speak into your hearts? Esther went into the inner court where the king was, unsummoned, uninvited, and with a dangerous risk that could have cost her greatly! But you and I, have a King in the heavens inviting us, summoning us to Him. It isn’t a risk for us but it is a sacrifice. One worth making to be in His presence. Will you enter in? Will your prayer be to take you there? Will you allow Him to take your rags and clothe you with a royal robe of righteousness? He welcomes you!

Hope it has been a great 2 weeks for you all and you’re learning a lot from this study! I am learning so much!Remember t...

On week 3 day 5 ( yes I am still behind)😬

But I wanted to share this because how many times have we thought that we had to do something for God to loves us? We don’t have to do anything! He just does! But, as we accept that He loves us, our love for Him begins to grow and we then desire that our lives reflect His righteousness. We desire to spend time in worship and learning His Word!

Does God desire my life to reflect the fruits of righteousness? Yes. Does He want me to spend time in worship with brothers and sisters in the faith? Yes. Is there instruction on how to live for His glory as a woman? Sure. But these are not the reasons I am able to be loved by God. I, and you, can know we are loved by God because of the work on the cross of Christ. In that moment, when Jesus voluntarily laid down His life and took it up again, we were made clean, reconciled to God, and justified. Christ took our punishment. He paid for our sins. He did this because we are loved— and for no other reason.
You see, God's people had not performed, or "held up their end." Those in exile in Persia were living away from God's promised land. They had been exiled from it because of disobedience to His law, which included not allowing any idolatry to seep into their lives or land, and now they were wondering if God had forsaken or given up on them. For the Jews, God had entered into a covenant, a promise, with them and He is faithful. ~Megan B. Brown~

Ultimately, Esther has several recurring themes: God’s sovereignty(His authority )over all circumstances, Gods provision (His goodness in providing for the needs of His children), and Gods faithfulness (His commitment to do what He says He will do).

(Found on week 3 day 4)

How are we all doing on our study? I’m about a day behind. But really enjoying digging in.

Remember, we will not meet tomorrow. Work on week 3 & 4 and will discuss some of both next Thursday.

On week 3 day 2, she had just went into Hamans casting lots to determine when he would wipe out God’s people. Then on page 93 she moves into God’s faithfulness, which is what I was moved to share this morning.

This is the point in the story where we begin to see the connections and intricacies between the things that happen to us, the things we suffer through, and some of the things we have chosen. The beauty of this next passage is this: God can, and does, move faithfully through our circumstances, our longings, our sufferings, and our needs.

Would God remain faithful to His people, while they existed in exile? Would He remain faithful to His people even when His people had failed to be faithful to Him? We cannot know the hearts of every individual Jew living in exile. Certainly some had assimilated and were content enough to remain in Persia observing the ways of that culture. Other Jews loved God (Deuteronomy 6:5) and wanted to live for Him even in exile, even far from their promised land, even when the temple was gone. Others did not and remained in the indifference and rebellion that had gotten them exiled in the first place. The point here is God's faithfulness.

What do we think? Is He with us when we are outside of His will? Does His love hinge on our performance, or ability to be obedient? Is God still faithful to us, even when we are bearing the brunt of the consequences of our own sin or unfaithfulness?

The short answer? Absolutely. God is always with us. I hope as we journey through the rest of this study, the answer will become firmly planted in your heart.
