Lieutenant General (Ret.) Donna W. Martin is another trailblazer we are honoring this month. As the 67th Inspector General of the U.S. Army, LTG Martin made history as the first woman to ever hold this critical position. In a role defined by integrity, accountability, and oversight, she ensured that the Army's systems worked for every soldier; a mission that mirrors exactly what we fight for.

Before making history as the IG, she served as the Army’s Provost Marshal General and the Commander of the Army’s Criminal Investigation Command (CID). Throughout her career as a Military Police officer.

We know that representation matters. When we see women like LTG Martin leading at the highest levels of the Pentagon, it reinforces why we advocate for equity in every branch.

We salute LTG Martin for her service, her leadership, and for proving that there is no role in the United States military that a woman cannot find success in.
