“Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you.” — John 14:27

Jesus doesn’t simply give peace—He IS our peace.

Because of the cross, our greatest problem has already been solved. We have been reconciled to God and can now experience not only peace with God, but the peace of God in the middle of life’s challenges.

Prayer is not pretending the weight isn’t real. Prayer is recognizing that you were never meant to carry it alone. While worry rehearses problems, prayer rehearses God’s faithfulness. And when we surrender our anxieties to Him, God’s peace steadies us even when the storm continues around us.

The peace of God doesn’t always remove the struggle, but it reminds us that we never face it alone.

👉 What is one worry you’ve been carrying that God is inviting you to surrender in prayer this week?

Watch the rest of this sermon by Pastor Brian, “Peace Over Anxiety,” from our Philippians series available on our website or church app under the Sermons tab or on YouTube!

Anxiety tells us to carry it all ourselves. God invites us to bring it all to Him.

Paul wrote Philippians 4 from prison, reminding us that peace isn’t found in perfect circumstances—it’s found in a faithful Savior. Whatever is weighing on your heart today, don’t carry it alone. Turn your worry into prayer and trust God with what only He can carry.

💭 What is one thing you need to surrender to God in prayer this week?

What a powerful reminder from Philippians 3:12-21 this past Sunday! 🙌

Paul shows us that the Christian life is not about arriving—it’s about pursuing. Because Christ has already taken hold of us, we can leave the past behind, press on toward the prize, and keep growing in our relationship with Him. Our joy isn’t found in perfection, but in pursuing Jesus day by day. As we run this race, we remember that our true citizenship is in Heaven and our greatest prize is Christ Himself.

We’d love for you to join us this Sunday as we continue our study through Philippians with Pastor Brian! Plus, we are excited to celebrate the ordination of Cameron Seely as one of our pastors here at Calvary Murrieta during all three services. What a special day it will be as we worship together and celebrate God’s faithfulness in raising up leaders for His church!

Join us at 8am, 10am, or 12pm, or watch our live stream online at 10am. We can’t wait to see you there! ❤️

🚨 Reminder! Our Blood Drive is happening THIS Sunday! ❤️🩸

Join us in serving our community as the San Diego Blood Bank hosts a blood drive right here in our gym on Sunday, May 31st, from 9:00am–2:00pm. A single blood donation can help save up to THREE lives, making this such a simple but impactful way to care for others in need.

If you are 17 or older, in good health, and meet donation requirements, we’d love for you to participate! Appointments are encouraged, but walk-ins are always welcome.

As a special thank-you, donors will receive a Padres summer sun shirt while supplies last! We hope you’ll stop by and help make a difference in our community this weekend. ❤️

God’s Word was never meant to just inform us — it’s meant to transform us. In Ezra 7, we’re reminded that real spiritual growth happens when we study God’s Word, obey it in our daily lives, and faithfully share it with others. 📖✨

Join us this Wednesday night at 6:30pm in the Fellowship Hall as we continue our study through Ezra 8 with Pastor Brian. We’d love to have you there for a time of worship, fellowship, and growing together in God’s Word!
